Hello,

I was wondering if Resizable bar is actually available for the original B450 Tomahawk. The feature doesn't show anywhere in BIOS, only above 4G encoding is available. I have updated the BIOS to 7C02v1E AMD AGESA ComboAm4PI 1.0.0.6 version (latest non Beta version). But "Resizable bar Support" doesn't show in any of the different BIOS versions descriptions, not even the new Beta BIOS ( AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 1.2.0.6C ). Does this mean the feature is not available in this B450 model? Any help would be appreciated.

Happy gaming times everyone

navigate to Settings/ Advanced/ PCI Subsystem Settings/ Enable Re-Size BAR support, press F10 to save and reboot.
also, make sure you change BIOS boot mode to UEFI.

I downloaded the latest beta bios and managed to enable resizable bar but got so many issues I went back to the old bios. Maybe if I reinstalled windows after the bios update it would be better but I cant be bothered at the moment.

what's the graphics card's model name, is it on the latest VBIOS? if you're using an MSI graphics card you could check Live Update. Navigate to BIOS Update, and click on Scan to look for the
latest VBIOS. https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/vga/LiveUpdate.zip
and have you updated to the latest BIOS? https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7C02v1G1.zip
this says resizable BAR support starts from AMD AGESA 1.1.0.0, but 7C02v1E is still in AGESA 1.0.0.6.
Thanks for the reply. BIOS version 7C02v1I with AGESA ComboAm4v2PI 1.2.0.7. just became available through MSI center for me. I'm still on the fence whether to upgrade or not. Since I'm actually already having a few issues with the graphics drivers for my RX 6750 XT I may take the risk. Specially since performance at 1080p seems to be quite cpu limited with my ryzen 3600. Hoping resizable bar can help.

How did you ensure you could safely roll back? I'm a bit scared of doing the upgrade myself but its too tempting...

You just go in to M-Flash in Bios and use a older BIOS version
There are a couple Rebar Ready BIOS for your Board on the Moderators DL site as well

Ok, so this means I can use E7C02AMS.1H8 BIOS even though it doesn't show in the list of compatible BIOS at the MSI website for my motherboard? Btw It is actually a B450 TOMAHAWK not B450 TOMAHAWK MAX.

Yes any bios in that list for your Motherboard will support re bar they was on the MSI site but get replaced when they update the bios.

I prefer bios 1.2.0.6c or 1.2.0.3c both were quite stable.

Thank you so much for your response! I will try updating via MSI live but I will keep E7C02AMS.1H8 BIOS in a thumbdrive in case anything goes wrong. I'll make sure to share results here. Crossing fingers.
