So i built my new pc build a few months ago. Everything was working fine and dandy.

Ryzen 5600x
b550 gaming edge wifi
gtx 3060
nvme 1tb samsung storage
16gb corsair rgb ram 3600
Next z63 cooler

after playing some games for an hour, the PC rebooted and then wouldnt post. No beeps andthe fans and cooler started up and were running. No signal to monitor. The EZ debug LED had the CPU on red solid light.

So far i have reseated the cpu, reapplied the thermal paste. I have troubleshot the components. Tried removing the GPU but still cpu led on. I tried just having 1ram stick (made sure they were in the correct ram slot) still cpu led on. When i removed both ram sticks the led moved from the cpu to the ram led. I also did a cmos clear and a bios reflash. I tried starting it up without the cpu but still same result cpu led on.

there is no damage to my cpu, when i start the pc the gpu fansspin and the psu lights up with rgb.

I am so confused as to what the issue could be?

Is it the motherboard? Has it become faulty? Any help would be appreciated. I have tried all i can think of. How can i trouble shoot to find out which part is faulty?

Thanks in advance

With a worse PSU yes, but yours should be alright. It just stood out that you didn't list it initially. The PSU is the foundation of any system, but some people don't pay it much mind and re-use their 10 year old PSU. Then problems such as this can occur. But yours seems ok and pretty new.

Do you know your CPU temps under full load? Have you done stress testing after initially building the PC, to see that it's stable and the temperatures stay reasonable even under maximum load?

You can try putting the mainboard on a non-conductive surface outside of the case.

When it was working temps were stable at high load was getting 38-40 idling was 26-29. I did bench tests and stress tests and everything was normal and good. Cant remember numbers specifically.

The only option ive not tried is what you suggested. I’m hoping to get a pc repair person in to tell me which part is faulty so i can return.

its hard to get a diagnostic. I dont have anyone that has a similar set up so i could text cpu/ mobo/ gpu

hopefully i can get someone to look at it.
