Ciao, spero sia la sezione giusta.. un paio di anni fa ho iniziato a fare un PC (poi mi sono dovuto fermare per vari motivi) il fatto è che la build è in, ora è proprio il momento giusto per poterlo fare continuarlo e mi chiedevo se "per passare alla scheda ryzen7 5800x su madre MSI B550 Tomahawk, serve un aggiornamento del BIOS o no?" Il web è molto confuso c'è chi dice di sì, ma è rischioso, c'è chi dice di no non è necessario, beh la vostra gente di MSI vorrei sapere il parere ahahah grazie per la disponibilità

S/N: 601-7c91-10b200 thanks for the reply i think the serial n is this (found above the label of the box)

ok that will need a BIOS update to support a Ryzen7 5800X as from the bit you posted its a board made in 2020 so will not have the BIOS needed.

you need at least this one https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7C91vA7.zip

your very Lucky as your board has a Blind BIOS Flashing Feature so can update the BIOS without needing a Supported CPU

go and download A7 from the link above
Extract the Files from the Zip File
rename the file E7C91AMS.A70 to MSI.ROM
Place it on a USB Flash Drive
Make sure the Board has a PSU connected to it with the 24 pin and 8 pin Power Connectors Plugged in and the PSU is on
Plug the Flash Drive into the USB port on the Board with a Grey Outline Around it
Press the little button next to it and it will use MSI.ROM to Flash the BIOS and then you can Use the CPU in your Board.

sei molto fortunato in quanto la tua scheda ha una funzione di lampeggiamento del BIOS cieco in modo da poter aggiornare il BIOS senza la necessità di una CPU supportata

vai e scarica A7 dal link sopra
Estrai i file dal file zip
rinominare il file E7C91AMS.A70 in MSI.ROM
Mettilo su una chiavetta USB
Assicurati che la scheda abbia un alimentatore collegato con i connettori di alimentazione a 24 pin e 8 pin collegati e l'alimentatore sia acceso
Collega l'unità flash alla porta USB sulla scheda con un contorno grigio attorno ad essa
Premi il piccolo pulsante accanto ad esso e utilizzerà MSI.ROM per eseguire il flashing del BIOS e quindi potrai utilizzare la CPU nella tua scheda.
