MOBO b650m-p
CPU ryzenx7600.
PSU MWE Gold 850
RAM 16gb xpower DDR5
I've been removing bits to narrow down the issue so have just the cpu, psu, mobo, and 1 stick of ram left. When I fire it up the EZ diagnosis LEDs light up until all fade but the boot light. That makes sense since I haven't actually set anything up yet, but I can't get a display to get to the BIOS screen to actually do anything. I've tried hooking up with both HDMI and old display port monitors to no avail. The board and cpu should be able to recognize each other, so I don't think it's an age issue with the BIOS. I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do now. Everything on the case seems to work and when I had the GPU plugged in it was getting power and seemed to be running fine. I'm kind of at a loss what to do now

Do you mean when using onboard HDMI/DP output without GPU installed, it doesn't display BIOS screen, and when using outputs from external GPU, the BIOS menu can be displayed?

Secondly, when you have external GPU installed, BIOS menu is always displayed from GPU. Just FYI.

Yeah, I have removed the gpu and am using the on board video display ports. I just get a black screen. When I initially put everything together I tried running through the gpu ports, but when that wasn't working I tried removing the gpu to take out one of the possible points of failure

I have discovered that I do not own any thumb drives that are <32gb. apparently the drive has to be fat32 to work because when i tried with a larger drive that's formatted as exfat it doesn't work. I'll swing up to the store and pick up a new thumb drive to try and see if that works

Woo! it worked. One of the RAM sticks is still acting finicky, but hopefully it'll work right once I get all the hardware up to date. I'm only using 2 sticks so if it's a dead memory slot i can use slots 1 and 3 and if the stick is just bad, that's easy enough to replace. Thanks for the help!
