I just got the MSI Cyborg 15 A13UC today.
I see that my battery charge is dropping during gaming while plugged in. It was at 100% while I started playing Valorant. Then it dropped to 98%. I immediately stopped the application to check. And it's still stuck at 98% since. it's been an hour.
I downloaded the MSI center, in system diagnosis the battery master is set to Best for mobility. And in User Scenario, its set to Balanced and GPU Switch is set to MSHybrid Graphic Mode.
Is this fixable on by some changes in the settings? And why is it doing that? I have worked on other laptops and never seen anything like this. Please guide me with the exact fix of this issue.

Even when the laptop is plugged in, the battery may still drop a bit under heavy load. This is normal for Hybrid Power. In some gaming scenarios, the system may need extra peak power, so it can pull some power from the battery together with the AC adapter.
You can try changing the User Scenario to Balanced mode. Since it lowers the overall power consumption, it may help reduce or slow down the battery drain.

For the battery percentage, this is also normal lithium battery charging protection. If the battery is already between 90% and 100%, plugging in the adapter usually won’t charge it back to 100% right away. It will just stay at the current level. You normally need to let it drop to 89% or lower, then plug it in again, and it should charge back to 100%.
As far as I know, this behavior is by design and can’t be changed manually.

Normal behavior when plugged in. The battery drops slowly to around 90% until it starts to recharge. On my GT73 it takes about one week.

what is your laptop charger wattage and yours specs cause if the charger is low power then the battery drop happen and i think its msi new tech to dont fully charge the battery and stuck at 98 to prevent battery aging so it can last longer
