Hi,
i have been having battery drain issues on my prestige evo 14. I charge my laptop to 100% and then use it for a few hours and when i shut it down and try to use it again and if the battery is like at 40%,30% or 20% it just shuts down and drains to 0% after i start it . Does anyone have the same issue or knows how to fix it? i've only had my laptop for 3 months. I've tried uninstalling intel drivers, and tried shutting down it from the cmd command. So if anyone knows how to fix it this will be helpful thanks.

The battery on my Notebook GF75 seems to be draining when the power is off. I rarely use it just on the battery so its close to fully charged when I power off. If don't use it for a few days & power on its usually so low it switches off after a few seconds unless the power lead in connected.

To learn how to resolve the issue of battery drain, please watch this video and follow the procedur.
them instructions are just to improve Battery life when the Computer is running what the 2 above are complaining about is Battery Draining very fast when Powered Off and its probably some BIOS settings that are causing the LAN and USB to remain Powered up when Powered Down. i have a new GS66 Stealth 11UH that is doing the same and am using it to see which exact settings are causing it. Started by Disabling the Wake on USB from hibernate and sleep and Wake on LAN Functions that seemed to be ON by Default and now waiting 24 hours to see how much battery Drain is happening (Was averaging 25-30% Drain when fully powered down per day so will see what happens now there off).

ok my test is complete: went from 25-30% a day down to 1-2% a day

go into BIOS by hitting Delete
go to Advanced
Hold down all these Keys at the same time Right CTRL+Right Shift+Left ALT+F2
now change these 2 Items to the Values Below:
1: Wake up on LAN S5 Support [Disabled]
2: USB Power in Sleep and Hibernation [Disabled]

now hit F10 and Save the settings

now when you shutdown you go to Power - Hold Down Shift and Click Shut down

that should Limit the Battery Drain By a Massive Amount as me doing that cut it to 1/15th upto 1/30th the drain each day
