battery not charging above 91%

Brand new and the Vector GP66 will not charge above 91%
Bad Battery?

when you got it was it at above 90% Charge if so above 90% the Battery will refuse to take a charge till it drops below 90% to Prevent Overcharging?

if so shut off the AC Adapter and let it discharge while on for about 5-10 mins and then turn back on the AC Adapter so it then charges and then it should go up to 100% but may take some time as its in the very Slow area of Charging as it uses way less current.

Ok. I unplugged it let it go down to 79%
Charging again and hopefully that does the trick

let us know how it goes. all Batterys MSI uses have overcharge protection that if its above 90% it will not allow any Charging. (I own 4 MSI Laptops and they all refuse to charge when they have over 90% on the battery)

When I plug in the AC charger and start charging battery, why does the system show "(plug in, not charging)" even if the battery capacity is not full?
Normally, the value of setting capacity (%) to start charging the battery is usually located between 90 – 95%(the actual number may differ by models); if the battery capacity is higher than 90%, the system won't start charging the battery.
[How To] Confirm if the battery charging behavior is normal
Battery charging starts when the battery capacity is below 90%, and charged till the battery is fully charged at 100%.

Indeed it did charge to 100%
And I got to learn that screen shots now require winKey+FN+PRTSCR, Oy vey can I just have the PRTSCR button default to that, how often does anyone use F12???
ok I'm done whining ;)

well you learned about the Battery and its Safety Features that prevent overcharging the Battery.

Also, you can go to MSI Center and from there you have under battery options to select how you want to charge your lap top. If you most time on battery or on power adapter, and after you select what you want, MSI software will charge your battery depend on that. Betwen 60-80% or above 90% etc..😁😊

Hi. I just got my thin GF63 and it got stuck on 90% while charging for an hour. And here's what it shows in my MSI Center. It's on Best for Mobility but it stuck on 90%. Should I be concerned about this?

disconnect the Charger for a min to let it drop below 90% and then it should fully Charge. its probably Straggling the Boarder between Charging and not Charging so it will not Charge till it drops to 89.99% if its lets say at 90.02% its not going to charge.
