Hi,
I’m building a new PC with an MSI MAG A750GL PCIe5 PSU, which has 4×8-pin connectors and an unused 1×16-pin connector. Here’s my current setup:
A) Use a 16-pin-to-dual-8-pin adapter to cover 2 of the 3 GPU connectors (though I would need to find an adapter)
B) Disconnect one EPS cable (the Ryzen 5 9600X may run fine on a single EPS) and use an additional PCIe 6+2-pin cable to provide 3 separate cables for the GPU
C) Upgrade to a PSU with 5×8-pin connectors (least preferred, but an option if needed).
Which option would you recommend? I already asked MSI Technical Support about option A, and they mentioned they don’t sell the adapter separately but that using a pigtail like my current setup should be fine.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pieter

- 2× EPS for my Ryzen 5 9600X CPU
