Does this version still comes with the gray interface? Do you think it is stable enough for daily use?

Yes to both. Again, I've not done any overclocking besides setting the Infinity Fabric to 1800MHz (a 0.66:1 ratio with my RAM). But you're going to be stuck with the ugly interface for the fosreeable future as it was a necessary sacrifice to get Ryzen 2000 support.

I'm currently on x470 gaming pro carbon (bios 29m) with r7 3700x. my main problems: pci express locked on 8x and my rams have 75ns latency.

It's almost perfectly stable but I'm not much happy with the interface and I believe my nvme drive has a weird performance. Would it worth a try?
Suggest you to try it only if you facing some trouble, but if you think your system is already stable enough then no need to bother updating to new bios.

I have a regular MSI B450M Mortar motherboard (that I unfortunately bought recently, just before the MAX-model was released). If I update the BIOS, what difference is it compared to the new MSI B450M Mortar MAX motherboard that got extra memory for the BIOS? Thanks.

Anyone using BIOS v2A1 or 2A0 (the official version of same) on X470 Gaming Pro Carbon :

try loading a saved profile in MSI Command Center

instant reboot?  I assume there would be a dialogue before the computer automatically shuts off.

It also, as far as i can tell, doesn't load any profile; it just instacrashes

If I update the BIOS of my regular MSI B450M Mortar motherboard (not the MAX-model!), does it support higher DDR4-speeds than specified then? Specification says,
Supports DDR4 Memory, up to 3466(OC) MHz

MSI B450M Mortar MAX motherboard specification says,
Supports DDR4 Memory, up to 4133(OC) MHz

Thanks in advance

You have bought MSI, so the delay will be a month or even a few. MSI customer must suffer.

Are you srsly? I have here a X470 Pro Gaming and not having the new AGESA 1.0.0.3ABB meaning no Linux Distribution can boot.

It stuck on systemd due to RdRand problems. I have contacted AMD regarding this issue and their technical support claims AGESA 1.0.0.3ABB should fix this.

This means i can't use msi mainboard until .. what next month? this is hilarious.

Last month there were some motherboard makers that enabled PCI Express 4.0 support on 400-series motherboards. This was against the wishes of AMD, who wants to keep PCI Express 4.0 exclusively for 500-series chipsets to ensure "everything just works" because not every 400-series motherboard can support it.
AMD's new AGESA 1.0.0.3ABB microcode update contains measures to prevent PCI Express 4.0 from being activated on older chipsets.

That was a bit of a douchy thing to do of AMD.

No it was obvious sarcasm. Thing is, if its beta then just drop it with warning that stuff may not work.
Only outdated distributions can't boot, there is already a workaround for that behavior in systemd.

I had my 3000Mhz DDR4 at 3400Mhz on an older BIOS. Now using a 3700X I can only get it to 3200Mhz stable.

Yes, it does.
I'm running my RAM at 3800MHz cl16 with BIOS v18, non-MAX model.

Hello guys,
Did anyone of you tried to update a b450 gaming plus to the latest bios via flashback bios button? I tried a lot of times with different usb keys 32gb (fat32) bios renamed in MSI.ROM and the result was only three blinks on the flashbios led.

At the end I surrended with flashback bios button, used a ryzen 2700x and flashed the latest bios, now ryzen 3000 works, weird that the apposite flashbios button didn't work for me.

3900X does not work on MSI X370 Gaming Plus motherboard with beta bios.

Flashed bios BIOS 7A33v5JM(Beta version) to my MSI X370 Gaming Plus motherboard, using a Ryzen 1400. The actual file name is "E7A33AMS.5JM." This is what it shows in the bios.

The BIOS build date says "9/20/17". <- Yes I typed that correctly.

Will not post with a Ryzen 3900X.

Try another usb pendrive and make sure you download the correct bios for your mohterboard.

Already tried 3 usb keys!
I solved with a ryzen 2000 but still wondering why didn't work the flashback bios button, am I the only one?
(b450 gaming plus)
