Curios if anyone is having boot up problems, blue screen just for a second    part of it reads memory dump

all hardware came off my p6x58d-e and no problems

Hardware
win 7 64 bit
I7 920
intel ssd 80gb
500 gb
12 gb ram g.skill ddr3 1600
3 x 5870
Enermax Evo Galaxy 1250W
samsung blu-ray
samsung dvd

Help us out here. Need a full list of all your systems components, including the PSU amps on the +12V rail(s). Disable 'Auto Restart' in Windows so the BSOD will stay on screen long enough to get the error code. Not always, but memory is usually a prime suspect. :-))

Edit: Noted some hardware details were added in an edit.

Do you have power connected to JPWR2 & 3, & JPWR4? 12GB RAM of what? Try with only the 3 black RAM slots filled.

Edit: I'm not sure this board supports more than two ATI cards in CrossfireX. Slots PCI_E2 & PCI_E5 are the two 16X bandwidth slots.

Have not tried that but I just read something about slow boot mobo  it was just a post on NCIX where someone was asking if they fixed this problem with slow boot mother boards and this power supply is this board classified as slow boot , but i will try the memory

Since the 5870's are double slot width, it is going to be impossible to populate the PCI_E slots as per the recommended PCI_E2, E5 & E6. Not sure how bad that will cause a potential bandwidth bottleneck.

12 gb ram g.skill ddr3 1600
Ripjaw Series?

It says slots 2 & 5  16x/16x  slots 2, 4, 6 ,   16x/8x/8x/   where as slots 2 ,5 & 6 are 16x/16x/4x

the exact same setting I had on the P6X58D-e 3Dmark vantage went from 28000 to 31500 on this board

any software that will tell you if this is correct 16x/8x/8x/

GPU-Z possibly.

Added: Are you sure about that bandwidth configuration for 3 cards? E2, E4, & E6 are 8X/8X/8X aren't they? E3 & E7 I believe are the 4X slots.

If you press F8 on bootup, it will allow you to disable automatic restart, that way you can note the complete error before it shuts down.

Oh and yeah, GPU-Z does show the PCI Lane speed, it'll be listed under Bus interface for example "PCI-E v2.0 x16 @ x16 v2.0"(Left side is what it supports, right side is what it's currently running)

Obviously someone cant read a manual...  your right, I tried to find that review that I read that stated the setting i said
what I did was removed one of the cards used e2 & e5 only no more blue screen boot problems it almost seems to run smoother in games now
is there any way to change the pci-e slots to 16x/8x/8x/instead of 8x/8x/8x

Don't believe it can be done without using single width cards to get at the E5 & E6 slots in conjunction with E2. Good excuse to purchase a pair of dual GPU GTX 495's for slots E2 & E5 in the near future? :lol_anim:

I've exactly the same problem, with msi bigbang xpower, corei7 950, 12GB Gskill Ripjaws 1600mhz CL8 (6x2gb), I've the blue screen with 12gb installed and without modify anything in bios for this memory, I removed the last memory to have my system to 10GB trichannel and all works fine, but the question, How to place the all 12BG without any probleme? my bios is updated to 1.6, and the speed of my memory is set to default so 1066Mhz, can I grow this value to obtain 1600Mhz like indicated for my memory? thanks in advance

mohnumber7, if you want and need help with your problem, please open your own topic instead of posting the same sentences in multiple topics of other users that talk about issues that resemble your issue. Thank you.
