Hi, I'm experiencing 2 problems with this board and I have not yet install an OS in it

first problem : in the bios if I go in the section Green Power, the system froze, I have to press reset to reboot

second problem : if I install 2 stick of memory in the blue slot, it work fine
if I remove them and place them in the black slot, it work fine
if I place 4 sticks at the same time, the system crash and reboot and make a loop

here the stick I try : Patriot PVV34G1600LLR 4 of them
G Skill F3-12800cl9q-16GBRL  4 of them

I see that new version of BIOS is supose to fix some problem with compatibility of memory, the problem is the way the board shut down when I put 4 stick, it's like the board is overload the led don't act like when you press the resset, they kind dim before the board crash

thanks and sorry for my english , I must add that it's more than 25 years I build computer I build around 3 a week, I have never RMA one motheboard until now.

C1E should be enabled if you are running your rig at stock. It ensures that the CPU multiplier is reduced when there is less or no load.

I don'T disable it , it was like that, I can see the voltage in the Control Center in windows, so it's only in green power in bios that I don't see them, where else can I disable the EuP2013 ?

As far as I know, this is the only place you can disable it.
HU16E may be able to give you more advice as he has 1st hand experience with this BIOS, which I don't  :undecided:

I found another place to disable the EuP 2-13, still same thing the Green Power Section froze....  I will like to ear from another guy whi have the same motherboard if he have the same problem for know if it's a bug in the bios code or not,  I need to know if I RMA this board or xchange for another model, if the all have the same bug no need to replace it with the same, RMA = shipping fees.

Ok guys thank for the help, for now I see no reason to RMA it, it fully functional, I see other board from other companies have small bug too.  I open a ticket with MSI tech support in the hope they can check if it?s not a problem they can fix in the next release of the BIOS. Please understand that I?m not unsatisfied of this board, I like it, it?s just that I?m stubborn.
Ok if you go in the advance setting, and in power management, you can disable the EuP 2013.

just found this ;    what is this, is this a B2 board than a customer return to  MSI fix with a new B3 chipset or all new MSI B3 board have this stikker to avoid to redo the lettering on the board ?

another place than the Green Power section you can disable the EuP2012 because it froze
Yes there is another location. In BIOS Advanced Settings, Power Managment there actually is another spot to disable EuP 2013.

is this a B2 board than a customer return to  MSI fix with a new B3 chipset or all new MSI B3 board have this stikker to avoid to redo the lettering on the board ?
Most likely a brand new PCB at the production facility that hadn't had the B2 chipset installed on it yet. No room to add the (B3), so they placed a smaller print sticker instead.

More than likely:
1- It was from stockpile of bare PCB's that was used instead of trashing them which would be the same thing they did a few years ago with the K9A2-CF. They upgraded VRM MOSFET's and used up their stock of original PCB's and added a sticker with K9A2-CF V2 designation.

2-Just as likely could be stockpile of MB's that had not been sold yet and new chipset was installed and the sticker was added.

3-Third scenario would be getting one with that sticker would actually be a warranty MB replacement that had the new chipset installed but those would not have been boxed and sold as new the 2nd time around.

I return the board to New Egg, they even pay the shipping and will Issue me a refund. I will order instead a 580 Lightning from the Egg and go in local store to try to find a board with no sticker.

With CPU-Z 1.57.1, I believe if you look in the Maniboard Tab, it will show if the board is in fact a B2 or a B3. A mixup at the reseller? Did you purchase an 'open box'?

no it was not an open box or else I will not even test it, it's not the board that is B2 or B3 it's the P67 chipset, of course it's a B3 , but what I don't know is ; did they exchange the B2 for a B3 ( means un solder the B2 and solder a  B3 )  others manufacturer take great care in their markething to show a new board not only a sticker.

no it was not an open box or else I will not even test it,
that was a sincere question as it had not been stated before.

it's not the board that is B2 or B3 it's the P67 chipset,
of course its the chipset, we know that. the chipset is associated with the board and the P67 board gets marked as B3, its the same for all boards.

did they exchange the B2 for a B3 ( means un solder the B2 and solder a  B3 )
we doubt that, but cannot comment on speculation.  Your best course of action would be to pose your question to MSI technical >>How to contact MSI.<< to get an official response.

all manufacturers take great care. Reply #27 from Henry addressed this concern.
your above statement might need an official release note from all manufacturers to that effect to support it. I have yet to see any such documentation that states that, but I would be most grateful if there are any links that could provide such official statements.

It's easy to see that other manufacturers like Asus and Giga to name few, make an effort to show they use the new chips, they scarp all the boards with B2 chips and make a new board with new lettering, MSI is the only one to put a sticker as far as I know. No need to see officials statement, the ads of Giga especially was very strong on that

Ok, I think I make a  misunderstand here, I'm French Canadian and I born in a city where 99% of peoples speak French, so my way to explain is not always good.

First of all, I own quite few MSI product and I fold for a quite long time with MSI excellent GPU products, this board have a BIOS problem that I can't resolve, it's look like no one really can too, with the help of this board I was able to fix the RAM problem, been a first time I own a 1155 chipset, memory controller do not work like the one in the pass, so many manufacturer and users have to get used to it.

MSI since few years improve a lot the look and the quality of their products, they use better components and we can see clearly that we purchase quality board, but I think with this sticker they make a bad move, ( no one is perfect)

I mainly build PC for business usage since 30 years, I attend all the ICC of Intel and I know the importance to stay in the specs for have reliable PC, honestly I don?t OC my board, I purchase top of the line board and some have Water Cooling, I do it for the fun of build them not for OC them.

Now I have to decide, at first I want a P67 board , because I don?t need the new feature of the z68 and I dislike some of them, , but if I want to have a GD-80 board without concern about the sticker , I have to go with the z68

OK gone, UPS just get the box few minutes ago, I already order a  Z68A-GD80 (B3) and no worry guys this time I know what to do with the memory if the board don't post.
