I have a H310 Gaming Infinite S (MS-B928) desktop PC with MSI Click Bios S, BIOS version EB928IMS.800.

I have recently cloned the hard drive, which is an M.2 SSD drive to a 2TB SANDISK SSD PLUS drive. This is installed in the vacant SSD Sata bay located on the exterior of the case.
Having changed the boot priorities and disabled the old drive, but still present I have successfully booted multiple times entering Windows. The old drive also present as Drive E:
The new drive registering as drive C: as expected.

However within 24hrs the SANDISK SSD Sata drive ceases to be recognised by the BIOS and fails to boot.

I have successfully managed to reboot a couple of times by powering off the system, removing the power cable, dissipating any remaining power prom the system and then
repowering up.

I realise there are the following options are available.

1. Flash the BIOS
2. Try a different drive
3. Try a different SATA slot and cable

Can anyone advise as to which I should try first or any other form of diagnosis to resolve this issue.

Thank you kindly for any advice in advance.

Try BIOS update 1st.

About SATA slot and cable, if it's M.2 drive there should be no cables.
Another option which you haven't listed is to do test this drive in another PC to see if will do the same there too.
