Hi

Configuration:
X58 Pro-E, Model MS-7522 V3.1
Intel Core? i7 Quad Processor i7-930
Corsair Dominator DHX DDR3 1333MHz 16GB  4x4GB
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9 2X2GB
Gainward GeForce 210 512MB PhysX CUDA
1x WD Raptor 70GB (system disk)
2x Western Digitial Caviar? WD20EARS Green 2TB (mirror- datadisk)
Cosair 550W power

Problem:
I tried to update the BIOS to newest version,  using a USB device and V8.C form fileof the BIOS.  The bios updated successfully, but after boot I get the message that BIOS is Corrupted. I can still use the USB to load Bios an reflash, but still same result. I have also tried V8.B but same result.
I have tried with only two memory modules and disconnected all disks, changed Display adapter.  Still same result.
Reason for BIOS upgrade was unstable system, BSOD?s problems Booting.
Is there any things I can do, or do I have to replace MotherBoard?

Flashing BIOS when you have stability issues is a worse thing to do.
Do >>Clear CMOS Guide<< with power cord removed,
and leave 1 memory stick only in 1st dimm close to cpu socket.
then try to boot

This mixing of RAM was probably the reason for all the BSOD's in the first place.

Hi. thanks for the answers.

I still have problems.

The two different memory (Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9 2X2GB) was the first I removed.

I think that it was the graphic card that was causing problems in the first place, because if I put this card back in, the computer just reboots without displaying any ting. So I got one graphic card from another working computer, but then I get this message:
?Bad BIOS checksum.  Starting BIOS recovery
Checking for USB Device. ..?

I put in my USB drive and computer boots, into BIOS recovery mode, I Specify the BIOS file on the USB drive and it starts flashing, finishes successfully and Boots without USB drive, but same error message:
?Bad BIOS checksum.  Starting BIOS recovery?.

So I?m thinking it has to be the motherboard, so I get another X58 Pro-E. Install this, but only connecting processor (with fan), one memory card (in the black A0 slot), Graphic card (from a working computer) and power cables (the power was working with another motherboard). And at first Boot I get:
?Bad BIOS checksum.  Starting BIOS recovery?..

How can this be? I have a new motherboard, and still Bad BIOS checksum, the only thing I haven?t changed is the processor, can this cause a Bad BIOS checksum?

I?m confused, any tips?

Best regards

What is the bios version of the new replacement Pro-E board? Should be on a sticker on the bios chip. For i7 930 support, the new board needs the right bios version too. Have you tried removing the power cord from the PSU & clearing CMOS? Try with just one of the Corsair 1600Mhz 2G sticks in the black A0 slot.

I can't check now, I have tried clearing CMOS (many times), I have not tried the 2GB sticks in the new MB, but I have tried both them in in slot A0 on the first MB. Which version is right for Fore i7 930 support?

Some have reported 8.8 as having worked, but by the MSI bios list, it looks to be version 8.9 was needed for full support.

The BIOS chip is the little rectangular spider looking one with the sticker on it next to the battery.

I think I found something, the first MB was preinstalled with BIOS 8.9 and I got the problem with upgrading to 8.12, and the new board had 8.12 preinstalled and have problems. So tonight I will try to downgrade the Bios to 8.9 I hope that will work.
