Hello there! I got a problem for the update of this product: MSI Infinite X 8RC-099EU
I tried to install via M-flash the BIOS gettin it from MSI site (product section) with the following motherboard: Z370M Mortar
It can't show the file of the new BIOS in the file list of the external memory, directly connected to the motherboard.
What could I do to update correctly my BIOS?

P.S: I already tried to put the BIOS file in a empty external memory and also in a full one without any sort of success.

You cannot use the normal BIOS updates for the retail board, because your board is from a pre-built MSI system that gets its own seperate BIOS updates. For the boards on those pre-built systems, they use a custom BIOS which might be modified to leave out certain options. For example, to prevent any overclocking that could mess with their cooling concept, which is tailor-made for that system. Heck, some of those pre-build PCs even have problems at their default settings.

You might have this particular system: https://www.msi.com/Desktop/Infinite-X/support
You have to look up what is written in your BIOS on the top right, after "BIOS Ver.:", and post it here, then we can confirm it.
The BIOS will not see an update file with a non-matching filename (everything before and first character after the dot). And no, renaming the file will not work, it won't update.

For the Infinite X, there would be an update from 2018, but obviously that one is still three years behind to the latest BIOS version of the retail board. This is one of the problems with the pre-built systems: Hardly any BIOS updates. If you want to use the retail board's BIOS because it's way ahead than the update for your pre-built system, then it's possible to flash the official MSI BIOS using this flash tool, at your own risk of course. This is pretty much the only way to benefit from the latest BIOS fixes. You would have to make sure that some key CPU- and cooling-related settings will be set roughly similar afterwards though, or at least take into consideration the previous settings, as they might be adjusted to your system's cooling capabilities, like i mentioned.

Thanks for posting the link to the BIOS update tool. However, it doesn't seem to want to work for my board (same problem as OP, bought OEM retail PC rather than only the motherboard) My board is the same as the OP's board, Z370M mortar (but OEM PC version).

When i try to use that update tool, it all seems to be going well, until this shows up: 1e - Error: Secure Flash function is not supported on this file.

So what's going wrong is beyond me, i'll try a different bios file, but looks like a new board and probably new CPU will have to be bought.

Before buying new things, first i'd like to know what you are trying to achieve? Preparing for some upgrade?
Plus, you can post in the thread of the flash tool, maybe there's a solution for the issue.
