Hi!
I’ve got a B550 Tomahawk with bios A.84, dated November 2021.
Today I checked for a bios update and there’s one with newer date but the version is A.80.
Can anyone clarify that to me?
Thanks!

Yes. Your A.84 is a beta BIOS that came before the A.80 release BIOS. That's because MSI does it a bit unusual with their numbering. It would go like this:

E7C91AMS.A60 stable -> E7C91AMS.A71 (beta) -> .A72 (beta) -> .A73 (beta) -> .A74 (beta) ... etc. ->
E7C91AMS.A70 stable -> E7C91AMS.A81 (beta) -> .A82 (beta) -> .A83 (beta) -> .A84 (beta) ... etc. ->
E7C91AMS.A80 stable -> E7C91AMS.A91 (beta) ... etc.

BIOS version .xx0 = official release/stable BIOS
BIOS version .xx1...9 = beta BIOS, not always released to the MSI website. The beta BIOS will have the second digit from the next (not yet released) release BIOS, contrary to other software.
