After 2 weeks the bluetooth just disappeared on my pc and I,ve tried updating my drivers and I've tried going into the device manager and I've tried going into services and making bluetooth automatic but when i troubleshoot it it still says that there's no bluetooth capabilities...

Any help on the matter would be much appreciated

Do you still have the WI-FI Working and have you checked the Bios settings as it can be turned off via the Bios.

So easy fix has been found turn off PC and unplug PSU and wait 10 minutes Hold down Power button on PC for 10 seconds during the 10 minute power off, Plug back in and turn on PSU and boot Bluetooth should now be back

It may just be a simple fix. In the message center of your desktop tool bar to the far right (if your tool bar is oriented the default way) opposite of the start menu. You can toggle on/off Bluetooth as well as other useful functions like turning on and off blue light for night time browsing.

My wifi is working and i checked the bios in the advanced settings for it to be enabled and it was, but bluetooth is just not an option anymore, i tried my pc and now bluetooth isnt even in my device manager, so rip
I think you need to do a web Ticket with MSI they seem to do same day replies as long as it is not to late in the day when they get it.
As if your Wi-Fi is working then one would think the BT would also work as they are on the same M.2 card.

This is the case with me also, b550 Gaming Carbon and thinking it's from recent bios update, but unsure. No option in windows nor bios for bluetooth. Wifi still operational and a ticket has been raised.

Is windows 10 full updated to version
win 10.jpg

And Download Driver for Bluetooth from Intel
driver ver.jpg

As it is working on my system with this Driver and fully updated windows.
Grab the Driver direct from Intel web site.
There is a newer Driver but grab the one shown

Dose not seem to be a problem with the latest drivers as I have just updated and is working OK

You could try to pop out the Card and reseat it but where the hell is it and would it void ones warranty. Taking of Heat sinks and the like dose not seem like a wonderful Idea.

It's embedded into the WiFi module, not gonna mess with it, plus, I'm pretty sure if one is connected, the other is fine too. Windows help sees a device, just can't use it, there may be a usb conflict, I'm gonna research that in a bit as it uses the same subsystem apparently

I resolved it! Simple advice from a guy on Reddit... Switch off and remove the power cable from the PSU, that was it! Weird...
I was having this problem after needing to reinstall Windows 10 on the same machine. Everything seemed to be working fine except bluetooth. Bluetooth didn't show up in device manager. There was no "on/off" switch in settings for bluetooth. I installed the latest bluetooth drivers, any new windows updates... nothing.

Then I finally came across this thread and your odd post that worked... I said why not. It won't hurt... unplugged the power cable to the power supply, plugged it back in, powered the machine on and the stupid "on/off" switch is there!!! Paired my Airpods and everything is working!!! THANKS!

Motherboard: MSI mpg b550 gaming edge wifi
My experiences are: I plugged two device in USB 2.0 controller: Logitech unify receiver and Logitech webcam. After that, I lost Bluetooth capability. (in this point I didn't know why :) )
I tried to:
- reinstall driver
- delete hidden Bluetooth devices
- bios: load default settings
- check Bluetooth status in Ubuntu (can't see it as well)
- unplug power cabel

Finally, I unplugged the webcam and restart the win 10. Bluetooth came back :)
Why??? :)

While the Wifi and Bluetooth card is a M.2 Card the Bluetooth needs a free USB port or a USB slot open to work, Not sure how it all works but could be why it worked when you freed up a USB port.

Had the same problem, tried what @turnerc714f902d0 suggested. Didn't work at first. Looked for the original post on reddit, gone through the steps and it worked. I also needed to hold in the power button for 30 sec before plugging the power cord back in.

Here's the original post by u/JETRUG:
I just had this happen with the b550-F (wifi).

The following worked for me:

  1. Turn off the PC.
  2. Unplug power cable to PSU.
  3. Hold power button for 30 seconds.
  4. Plug power back into PSU.
  5. Boot PC.
I read somewhere that it was a static electricity issue or something and by doing this it resets whatever is causing interference.

Hello,

I had also the same issue and did solve it with the same procedure: Big thanks for that !!

I will have question related to this situtation, can I can answers, please?

  1. Do you have an idea of the possible frequency of this problem?
  2. Is there any way to avoid this issue occurs again?
  3. Also, do you think the installability issue I had with my Ethernet port during the same time can be from the same root cause too?

Thank you again

Take care
