After 2 weeks the bluetooth just disappeared on my pc and I,ve tried updating my drivers and I've tried going into the device manager and I've tried going into services and making bluetooth automatic but when i troubleshoot it it still says that there's no bluetooth capabilities...

Any help on the matter would be much appreciated

Solution
Do you still have the WI-FI Working and have you checked the Bios settings as it can be turned off via the Bios.

So easy fix has been found turn off PC and unplug PSU and wait 10 minutes Hold down Power button on PC for 10 seconds during the 10 minute power off, Plug back in and turn on PSU and boot Bluetooth should now be back
The reason this happens apparently is static buildup in the wifi/bluetooth chips. By disconnecting the power cable and holding power on your PC apparently discharges the electricity from your motherboard. I forgot who told me this, but it was someone who worked for a chipset manufacturer.

Damn! It worked! No clue why!
Me too! Thanks All!
It must be the "cold boot". I just discussed with my software engineer flatmate and he doesn't think holding down the power button on the PC does anything if the PSU is unplugged but that unplugging the PSU for ~30 seconds will allow the capacitors to flush, etc.
But alas! Bluetooth functionality is back baby!

Worked for me (on Linux Pop OS)! Thank you!

Had the same issue been sitting round looking through YouTube vids trying to sort it for hours and came across this comment didn't think it would work but thought id try it anyways and it actually did, thanks!
100% Confirm, B550 Carbon user here, this step worked instantly.

Guess what, now my motherboard does this every week or two. I'm using a X570 Gaming Edge + Wifi. Not only that but it crashes my PC at the same time. MSI is terrible.

This actually worked!! Thank you :alien:

This bug is known to MSI for almost three years now! Wow!
All I had to do was power down after disabling WLAN and switch off the Power Supply Unit (PSU) switch next to the power cable plug. Didn't use PC over night. Next morning the Bluetooth symbol had re-appeared and was working again. Connected to WLAN and system was back to normal. Thanks for the hints guys!

Holy cow!!

Believe it or not, this also happen on my MSI Z690 Force WiFi. Unplugging (directly from PSU) is worked like a magic

Unplugging the(female) cable from PSU, try pressing the power on button. Plug it back. Boot windows, Revelio! The bluetooth is back.

Wow - guys, that solved a miracle! I am not using an MSI but a ASROCK B550 mainboard and I had the same issue. I am doing this since decades and solved many issues - but in this case nothing helped. Drivers okay, but hidden. Onboard bluetooth turned on, fast boot turned off. Several other things I tried - I was close to reinstall Windows 11.
Than I found this post. Turning power off, that's all? But as I tried everything else - I did it and voilà, bluetooth came back. Weird!!!

However, I just registered to this MSI board to say thank you!

BTW: My last installation was a steel series mouse with a wireless adapter. Not sure if this is linked to this issue, I tried to de-install the drivers first but this didn't help. But as now it works together with bluetooth, you got my happy!

Motherboard: MSI X570 Tomahawk wifi purchased 2020.

So I have been dealing with a random blue screen of death BSOD on my pc over the last few months (fall 2023). Today I was able to track down and repair a possible source the bluetooth drivers which were repaired. I knew there was a solution similar to the one quoted below but could not remember the details so I'm glad I found it again.

Hello all,
I have some issues with BT too, with my MB B650-P Wifi. I have installed the latest drivers available on MSi Support (1.930.0.230) and I enable my Xbox Series Controller. It's recognized, I can play. But, and it's totally random, my controller doesn't work well like if it was disconnected and the only workaround I have is : disconnect / reconnect my xbox controller (which is annoying) or cable it on my computer (but it's not the goal, b/c it's wireless).
I have the latest firmware on my xbox controller and I had no issues with it since many years (before I used a BT usb key on my precedent MB - Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming). According to Win11, my bluetooth working fine. I already disabled the Wifi through Windows into the control panel. I didn't checked yet if I can disable Wifi through BIOS.

If anyone had this kind of behavior and a solution, I am interested !
I tried to enable only BT on the BIOS instead of BT and wifi, I'll see.

Yes please install the antenna that was supplied in the Motherboard box if not already done, check they are not loose if installed already

Hi @Alan J T, I didn't know about the fact these antennas are related to BT too ! I didn't installed them b/c I am on ethernet. But it's necessary to have a better BT connection, I'll try.
Yep is a common thing to happen as most people are not used to having Aerials for BT but it is needed on a Desktop PC, :agrees:

Thanks for your feedback, I just added the 2 antennas, will try tonight and let you know.
Edit : I played yesterday night few hours with my Xbox Series controller and I confirm : no disconnection, it seems it's resolved ! Thanks !
