Boot beeps...

I'm getting two beeps every time I boot. One beep after about 5 seconds of powering on and one beep just before the first Windows 2000 screen appears.
Question, is this normal? Do I have a problem. System is fine otherwise.

Seperate question, every time I boot the system says the Promise BIOS not installed, how do I solve this???

The beeps look normal to me....

Bios not installed

Goto Integrated peripherals, - Onboard PCI controller, - P20378 controller, and disable it.. Save settings and reboot, the bios bitt may come up till you power down.

Beeps, I get beeps like that when I try to recover a damaged IDE HDD, I put it down to the problem reading it.

BIOS message is GONE . But, the BEEPS remain One just a few seconds after power on, and the other right after the raid 0 is recognized, and just before the first Windows screen.
NOTE: these two beeps have occured consistantly everytime I boot or restart.
ANY IDEAS WHY???????????????? :rolleyes_anim:

I get two beeps too, u shouldn't worrie about beeps... as long as its not something serious

Yup, I think one beep at a screen load is 'normal' , as long as they don't repeat.
