bought GT680r but cant register it online on MSI web site

hi,

I've bought MSI GT680R notebook.
when I installed the windows it asked me to register online on MSI website, I know it's not big deal but I tried to register.
I couldn't because it gave serial number error.
my serial no: GT680R-060TRK11010000xx  (hiding last 2 digits)

there is a small link to "how to identify serial number" but it doesn't work, says 404 page not found.
I made a ticket on "online customer service" few days ago still there is no answer there....
worst customer service ever I've seen.

what I'm doing wrong?

You don't need to register your card. Only in the USA/Canada you have to do this.
 
I know its not big deal, but I want to.
why it doesnt let me to register? says wrong serial number...
 
If you're registering on the global MSI site (www.msi.com) then only serial numbers from the Asian market will be recognised.
