I've had this camera for over two years and I love that I can connect it via USB to my computers and copy the data from the storage card without having to buy a card reader and also use it as a webcam. This has worked fine on any Windows Computer I have, regardless of Windows 10 or 11. My previous MSI Laptop also worked fine in this regard.
My new MSI Alpha 17 recognizes other USB devices plugged into its USB-A ports, but it will not react to my Nikon Z6 camera. The only port over which I can connect this camera is the single USB-C port on the computer's left side. This is problematic because this laptop is already two USB ports short from the one I had before.

Have you ever tried using another USB cable to connect the camera?

Thank you for your idea. But I wouldn't go to the extend of registering for this forum and posting my problem if I hadn't tried that. I tried two different USB-A to USB-C cables (which both successfully connect the camera to all other computers) to no avail. I tried all of the USB-A ports. I installed the Nikon softwares to the computer. I updated the camera firmware. I updated windows. The only port that the computer will accept this camera on is the single USB-C port, with a USB-C to USB-C Cable.
