Hi all,
Just wanting to see if anyone else is having this issue, it appears that when you close down WinCoder after viewing the TV input.... "nv4_disp.dll" if thats what it is, I forget.... well anyway... it dies, and causes a BSOD under Windows XP Professional. This is not the case ALL the time, just more regularly than I would like.
The problem is, Windows XP is NOT meant to get BSOD's, but I have turned off the 'auto-reboot' function and enabled 'error reporting', as sucj I see this message rather than getting a beep and post screen
- it doesn't help my cause though, when XP BSOD's it sends a kernel panic and a stop code... which effectively means it's locked the system out, and a "reset" is in order.
WinCoder really does seem to be a buggy application, it appears a couple of people have the same issues as me, but I have no idea how wide-spread it is. It also appears that WinCoder will suffer another fate, and it will die when loading issuing a "encountered a problem and must be closed" error which points to the Windows "C" library 'MFC42.DLL'.
Just wondering if this IS a problem, and if it's WinCoder or a driver issue.
I have an MS-8850 GF3Ti200-Pro (ViVo) using MSI/nVidia Driver 30.00 and MSI/nVidia Capture 1.16
