Built-in camera not turning on

Hello,
The built-in camera on my MSI laptop is not turning on..
The camera light does not come on.
I've gone through all the basic checks, including toggling the physical camera switch off and on, ensuring the camera privacy settings are on, turning the laptop off and on, and checking that the camera driver is up to date.
When I open "Bluetooth and Devices / Cameras", the "HD Camera" is visible when the camera is toggled on, and not when it's toggled off, so that is normal.
However, when I click on HD Camera, it says "Camera preview failed to start, please reload the page and try again".
Attached is an image of the error I receive.

Laptop: MSI Summit E16FlipEvo A11MT, x64-based PC
OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100
The camera doesn't turn on in any program. I've tried in MS-Teams, Zoom and Google Meet.
The camera worked previously in these programs. I don't think anything has changed with the camera setup.

1. Press Fn+F8 to enable or disable the webcam function.

2. Check if the camera device is detected under device manager
> If not, try to perform EC reset.

I couldn't for the life of me get the camera to work in a Zoom meeting on a GS65 Stealth Thin 8RE, until I came across @Downey Rob EC Reset Steps. Unfortunately for me I did not read carefully and did not log out nor power off the computer first, prior to pressing the power button for 25 seconds. Windows "suspected" some sort of hack and forced me to leave the laptop powered on for "at least" 2 hours before allowing me to log in.

But BIG THANK YOU! I wasted so much time, trying this, that, and what other possible solutions I gleaned Google Searching/Bing Searching.
