Hi, everyone

I reinstalled my MSI GP62MVR 6RF to windows 10 pro system yesterday.

Everything went smoothly... but the built-in camera isn't working at all. I tried Fn+F6, it displays a camera on icon on the bottom of screen, but it is useless.

I tried in camera APP + SKYPE camera setting, they are telling me my camera is not turned on or not connected. I think it must be a driver issue,

or the problem comes from the camera itself (perhaps physical damage?)

I also check out to see if there is a camera driver I can download to solve this issue, but seems I cannot find a camera driver at msi website.

https://www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GP62MVR-6RF-Leopard-Pro.html#down-utility&Win10 64

I did some researches on this issue today, I found many people said the built camera is came with the windows system, I don't need to install any drivers to get it work.

I tried opened device manager, there is no imaging device installed, even I select show all hidden devices. I tried many times to scan new device, but no working.

Is there anything I need to do to re-install the camera software or add something to registry to get it working?

Yes, the camera is using the Windows built-in driver. It means you don?t have to install any driver.

Try to uninstall the SCM and install latest version from MSI. Then use Fn+F6 to check it again.

If it didn?t work, you might need MSI?s help on checking hardware.
