Camera not working

For the 2 years ive had this laptop, the camera has never worked. I dont know how to make it work. Can anyone help?

First off, you should check it in your Device Manager and update the drivers. Once that's done, check your privacy settings and your MSI center to make sure the camera is enabled and programs have the necessary permissions to access it; also, check your antivirus and disable any options that may stop the camera from working properly.
Then, try using the camera in different programs, in case it was a problem with just the program you are trying to use it in.
That should clear out most software problems.
If it still doesn't work, come back with some more info, laptop model, OS version, etc.

But having it disabled for 2 years, it may be a hardware problem.

Which model of laptop do you have?
Did you try to press the shortcut function key to enable the webcam?
You can refer to the below article to check the device in device manager. To see if there is webcam device in device manager.

Bumping this thread. I can't get the integrated webcam on my GF65 Thin 10UE to work. Bought the laptop new in 3/2022. I'm updated to the latest BIOS for my model.

I tried Fn+F6 (the key with the picture of the webcam) and it does nothing, with my Camera app open.

I have Windows 11, with all permissions under Privacy & Security turned on. I don't have a 3rd party anti-virus installed, and I don't know how Windows Security would be blocking my webcam.

There is no Webcam listed at all in Device Manager, under any of the trees. Windows seems to detect no webcam whatsoever.

I'm running out of ideas. Is there something I'm missing?

Just solved my own problem.

I downloaded Dragon Center from the utilities page and lo and behold, my webcam was disabled.
