Hi, looking for help please!
Trying to install a Zotac GeForce RTX 3050 Solo 8Gb GDDR6 into a PC with intel i5.
Motherboard is a MSI-7680 / H61M-E23 and I've updated the BIOS to version 12.3 from the MSI site.
The GPU has been installed in the only slot and is correct fit (replaced NVIDIA 710 I think), checked all pins and blown any dust out.
Power unit is 500W, and connected to the GPU with 8 PINS.
No problems with the power output cable and connection as far as I can tell.
Appears to have power as the fans are spinning on the graphics card.
However, using NVIDIA driver software it does not show any NVIDIA devices when searching.
I've looked through device manager, and it doesn't show up in there under display adaptors. I've checked under "hidden devices" and I've scanned for new hardware but not having any success.
Have been into BIOS at set-up and found the SATA setting to change to AHCI which I read on another google search.
Feel like I am missing something obvious; any suggestions please - 6 hours into this so far and a 15 year old son losing patience behind me!!
Graphics card is bought from CEX, so has warranty and I would assume has been through some testing before resale.
Currently I am using the HDMI output from the original socket connected to motherboard directly so I can view output still. I have uninstalled the old drivers for the 710 card.
Thanks for reading, all help greatly appreciated!
