I'm curious if it even possible to charge/plug in the charger to my laptop if I removed the internal battery, will it work?
The situation with my laptop battery at the moment is that I?m seeing a noticeable minor bump on my keyboard and figured that it had something to do with the battery. Of course I?ve always fell asleep overcharging it while watching movies so that?s entirely my poor maintenance for the laptop.
I no longer have warranty for the battery I believe since it passed and I?d have to look into replacing the battery. I don't know if it?s even safe to go for the generic battery as it?s cheaper than buying the official battery part from MSI/eBay. I kinda wanna save money at the moment and wonder if removing the internal battery in my laptop will and charge it as it a temporary solution. I?ve tried contacting the local MSI in my country and of course they have very poor responses which I wouldn?t be surprised if their CS is terrible..
*rant*
I'm just have some difficulty locating the battery in the Philippines and that I can only find the external batteries for the other models. To the point that I was able to find a store that could replace my laptop battery but they were over charging the price by so much( the store was straight up ripping me by charging me extra because I was speaking english(Cannot speak the local language-even if I tried it?s noticeable). I had a friend speak to them in a local language and of course they gave him the cheaper option for the generic battery and the official battery price. Overall, generic battery price which is cheap and fairly reasonable but I?m aware of the potential risks involved that it may or may not be safe or look into paying more for the original.
So I'm curious will my laptop even work if I plug the charger in without the internal battery inside.
If it's not possible then I may just end up ordering one online.
I know sound really silly because I know that the charger does work with laptops without the removable battery and I cannot seem to find anything about charging laptops if the internal battery gets removed and if it will still work with just the charger plugged in.
Looking forward to see what you guys say.
