Can the monitor's glass surface be cleaned with alcohol cleaning wipes? Will it affect the coating on the glass?

I just cleaned the screen with an alcohol wipe, if left some streaks behind but didn't seem to damage the coating on the screen. Seems the screen isn't exactly liquid proof. I think some liquid went inside and briefly made my screen go haywire. For a moment I got "static" and multiple colored lines. It's gone now. I hope no long term damage to the monitor because of what happened.

You may want to turn the monitor off next time

It was off when it was being cleaned. It happened about 5 minutes after the cleaning when I turned it back on.

i clean my monitor with distilled water and microfiber cloth, also i trun off my monitor while cleaning.
