"Cannot find product information" Error When Registering Motherboard

Hello,

I am trying to register my motherboard however whenever I enter the serial number (ex: xxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx), I keep getting a message saying " Cannot find product information.".

What should I do?

Use the MSI mobile phone app is a bit easier as it will scan the code.

App is work but is very slow to respond

OK so it is working with the Mobile App

But I did get a message not recognised the first two tries, I then held phone there for 30 seconds after that not Identified message appeared and it recognised and identified the Barcode correctly

I would say it is working but is very slow to find details so keep phone camera aimed at barcode till it does recognise and brings up the details. Then enter the CHK and whatever else it need like copy of Receipt and you should be good to go.

Did you buy the motherboard by itself, or was it part of a pre-built system?

Welp,

I did as you said and it did finally end up working. However I didn't have the receipt readily available. So once I had the receipt, I tried again however the app keeps giving me a "500 Server Error" message. I have restarted the app, cleared cache, etc, but it still gives the error.

Welp,

I did as you said and it did finally end up working. However I didn't have the receipt readily available. So once I had the receipt, I tried again however the app keeps giving me a "500 Server Error" message. I have restarted the app, cleared cache, etc, but it still gives the error.
OK so sound like the server is down again try again in a day or so, it is a bit on the flaky side and has the tendency to die on the weekend.
