Can't use GPU DVI with P67A-C43

My setup:
MB: P67A-C43 BIOS 1.B0, i5 2500, Windows 7 professional 64bit
RAM: Corsair 4x4GB 1333MHz
PSU: Enermax FMAII EG465AX +12V~32A, +5V~30A, +3.3V~30A
GPU: ASUS EN8800GT
HDs: SSD OCZ 120GB + HD WD 350GB
OD: random dvd recorder

MB CPU and RAM are brand new the other parts are coming from my old PC.

The problem is I can't use my GPU output ports in DVI mode but just in VGA, I tried two different monitors and I tried a different GPU too, with the second GPU (an ATI radeon X300 series) once on 100
reboots the DVI worked fine but apart for those 2 times I never saw it working again...

Do you have any idea where the problem can be?!? I tried the GPU in other PC and the DVI works well...
Can you please give me some hint some test to do something to understand why it doesn't work??

I never heard of such a problem regarding any recent P67 mainboard.  Why this should be mainboard related, is actually a mystery to me.  But since you have already tried a different video card and have tested the cards in another system and also used different monitors, it seems we have to indeed look elsewhere for that cause.

Have you tested a different DVI cable at any point, just to get that off the test list?

You are actually right... I didnt see any connection with the mobo either i must say the only thing I haven-t tried is the cable but i believe it- never the cable and at the moment the two devices i tried are connected with two different cables one is a dvi and the other is a hdmi with a dvi adapter connect to the TV....
anyway I-ll try and I-ll let you know if someone has some other suggestions please write them down anything is well accepted

The cable may or may not be an issue depending on the standard of the two ports in use, i.e. your GPU and your display device. There are 3 types of DVI connectors, -A, -D and -I. Suggest you refer to this nice overview and check what cable you are actually using and what your display device DVI input specs are. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

sorry I didn-t specify that I reported this problem in the Mobo section because in the same system with mobo cpu and ram different * it means same GPU displays cables and so on) everything was working fine... just my old mobo is gone forever .... RIP so I can-t try again with that setup but I treid with another one and it works fine....

Just out of curiosity, but could it be the monitor thats having issues?  Possibly a bad port on the back.

driver is the last one downloaded just yesterday from teh website...
It can be a bad port on the displays... but they are two... an lcd monitor and a led TV connected trhough a dvi to hdmi adapter...

the LCD monitor is conncted with a dvi dvi cable (as soon as I'm at home I'lltry changing the cable), the LED TV is connected with an hdmi cable with dvi to hdmi adapter

ok I'll do it.
I did it already with the present cable and it doesn't work in the bios either... it worked just once or twice with the x300 GPU apparently randomly...

Ok I took my second computer and i connected to it the actual GPU cable and display and the DVI works perfectly so I can esclude GPU cable and display from the suspects :D

The other possibilities are:
motherboard (main suspect in my opinion),
PSU i don't know if it's possible so still in the suspects,
RAM???
Processor....

I really don't know what to do...
The only thing I know it's that at the moment I use my PC with a VGA connection perfectly working but I can't watch movies on the TV...
It won't be so bad if it wasn't new!
