When the Amd Tray Icon/AMD Driver is not starting automatically, you can not change AFMF and Radeon Super Resolution in the Quick Settings (logic, as AMD Adrenalin is not running).
So you have to leave allways the XBOX Fullscreen Experience, waste 2 GB of RAM to open the AMD Driver that the games are running smoothly.
I reinstalled it completely, as well as the Center M software with the cleaning tool, where also the perfomance overlay is not working.
AMD Adrenalin Driver does not start automatically. The settings (e.g., Performance Overlay) in the Quick Menu do not work. This also applies when the AMD software is running.
What can I do to see the performance overlay?
What needs to be done that the AMD Adrenalin Driver is starting automatically in the backgorund and the Quick Setting are working on startup?

For the performance overlay, maybe you can try to switch the system language to English if you are currently not.

I'm from germany. And my games are in german too. So I think for me it's better to let it in german. But why it need to be in english? My Rog Ally X for example is in german and all the quick settings incl. performance overlay works.
But I think I found a solution for me. I will post it later after testing.

EDIT:
I've put AMD Software Adrenalin in autostart manually:
Now it works that I start the device in the Xbox fullscreen experience for better performance and AMD Adrenalin starts in autostart in the background and my settings in Adrenalin work! There are all settings and a performance overlay.
But the settings in the MSI Quick Menu do not work! Thankfully, they're not that important and you don't really need them since you configure everything in AMD Adrenalin anyway. But it's still a shame that something like this doesn't work on such an expensive device.
Everything works perfectly on the Ally X, and it's simply more convenient. I don't know if there's something wrong with the drivers on the A8. But my Ally X Z1E has significantly better performance and often 20 FPS more.

And a second options: You can add every game, app, software to the fullscreen experience. It works with AMD Radeon Software too:
