I don’t believe that 7500 MT/s is correct for the Claw A8.
My previous RMA unit was running at 8000 MT/s, and MSI itself officially specifies the Claw A8 with 24 GB LPDDR5X-8000. This is also stated on MSI’s official product and specification pages.
Can you show me one website listed with 7500mhz?
I can only find 8000mhz. Please see attached file from the official MSI A8 website.
All major retailers are also listing the Claw A8 with LPDDR5X-8000.
Since my previous RMA unit was running at 8000 MT/s, I believe something has changed with the latest BIOS version E1T8KAMS.106. It appears that the memory speed may have been reduced from 8000 to 7500 MT/s with this BIOS.
Therefore, I don’t think 7500 MT/s should be considered the correct specification for the Claw A8.
I also received the following response from MSI Support:
“After verification, it has been confirmed that the hardware memory operating frequency of this CLAW A8 BZ2EM device is currently specified as 7500MHz. The 8000MHz information pertains to a previous batch of the same model. This device’s specification of 7500MHz is normal and indicates a normal shipment, not a problem.”

Thanks, I understand that LPDDR5X memory can technically support different operating speeds, but I don’t think that means there is a 7200–8000 MT/s “range” for the Claw A8 specification. MSI specifically lists the Claw A8 as 24GB LPDDR5X-8000, not 7200–8000.The memory speeds can be anywhere in the 7200 - 8000 range.
And I have to remind you that LPDDR5-8000 = DDR5-4000, so the speed is not so great anyway, but for this kind of devices is ok.
In any case, I agree with you: listing 8000 instead of 7500 is not something very nice.

So what actually changed?

I already told you: they use different memory chips in the 7200-8000 speed range.
The only problem here is that they were all advertised as 8000.
But they "fixed" that now: the memory speed is not mentioned at all.

So my point remains simple: if MSI wants to specify the Claw A8 as “7200–8000 MT/s depending on configuration”, that should have been the specification from the start. Changing the explanation afterwards does not make an originally advertised 8000 MT/s unit equivalent to a 7500 MT/s unit.I understand what you are saying about the different memory chips being capable of different speeds. The issue is what MSI advertised to customers. (ok they changed it now.......)
Under EU consumer law, specifically Article 7(1)(d) of Directive 2019/771, the conformity of a product also takes into account public statements made by the producer, particularly advertising and labelling. The Dutch consumer authority (ACM) likewise states that if a product is different from what was stated on the website, it can be considered a non-conforming product.
MSI advertised the Claw A8 as LPDDR5X-8000. My previous A8 actually ran at 8000 MT/s. My replacement runs at 7500 MT/s.
So whether MSI technically uses different memory chips capable of 7200–8000 is not the main issue. If MSI wants to sell different configurations, that needs to be clearly communicated to the customer before purchase.
If the specification had originally said “LPDDR5X 7200–8000 MT/s depending on configuration”, that would be a different situation. But advertising LPDDR5X-8000 and then shipping some units at 7500 MT/s is exactly the issue I am questioning.
So yes, I understand your technical point. But technically possible and properly advertised are two different things.
The issue is what MSI advertised to customers.
