I have a cold boot problem where once i start the computer up after it has been switched off for any length of time i get a boot failure, but if i hit the restart button after that happens it boots fine.

Here is my current set up :
Athlon 64 3000 +
MSI K8T Neo
Corsair 1024MB PC3200 Cas 2
Western Digital 120Gb 8M JB
Western Digital 74Gb Raptor
Pioner A06 DVD Burner
Liteon 52x32x52
Antec 480W True Power
ATI 9800 128MB Non Pro
Logitech Elite
Logitech MX 500
Altec Lansing 221
Phillips 17" 107P40

I have windows 2000 installed on both HDD.

I think it may be a psu issue as according to corecentre my +12 rail is hovering between 11.64 and 11.7.

The max output on the rails of the psu are as follows +5 38A, +12 22A, +3.3 30A

not heard that one happening on the K8T before although something similar is a known issue on the KT600 deltas .. might be the hdd is just taking too long to spin up .. as suggested check all the conections to that and the jumpers if it has them

Thanks guys, I got all caught up in checking out all the other things it could have been, and missed the most obvious one :bonk:.

I didn't get a manual with either HDD, but found out the jumper on the 120GB was set incorrectly. I shut the pc down for 10 minutes and it booted fine, ill be able to check again in the morning as it late here now, but by all accounts it seems to be fixed.
