I have bought the msi trio oc white rtx 5080 since launch and had and still have 0 issues with it apart from some coil whine. But I do have a concern:

Before installing the card into the PC, I gently pre-bended the cable towards the classic 8 pin PCIE not the 12vhpwr connector, I haven't paid much attention to it when installing it, but since 3 days since I've cleaned a bit my pc of dust, I was looking on the adapter and I've seen that at the little 4th/last pin/cable where the MSI logo is, is either empty or cut or I don't know if it's supposed to be like that?! I'll attach a picture so you guys can see.
Now my question is, is it supposed to be like that from factory?!

It would be easier if you remove the adapter and take a photo from an angle with some bright light. Also you should be able to tell if you remove power cable from power supply and try sticking something thin into what /appears/ to be cut cable. Knife or anything similar, you should be able to feel if it's indeed empty.
Also as far as I know, those are sensing pins. So fairly important as otherwise you may be power limited.

I've contacted msi support and showed them, they replied so I take a look with the adapter unplugged and see if the 4th is present, and it is there. I still don't know why there is a gap / empty / black spot.
The thing is, anyway I bought an ATX 3.1 psu that is coming soon, so I won't need the provided adapter, but... hopefully there are no one else receiving the adapter like that. I'm 100% sure I didn't damaged it since I just gently pre-bent the cable at the middle towards the classic 8 pin pcie plugs. An alternative I wonder was if MSI could provide an adapter like this one, I've searched the internet but didn't found.. altho' I think I would wait so long for it to come..
Regarding putting a knife or something there to feel.. I'm a little sceptical/scared to put there something.. maybe the wire is there and I could damage it I don't know.. I'll just let it like this and see what msi support team will have to say.
About power limited, I'm not power limited on the card, in stress tests like OCCT the card is pulling 360 W, in games at resolution 1440p (cyberpunk 2077) around 300w.

Just touching the wire won't damage it ;)

Can you do a better photo showing the cable going into the socket, as I'm not certain due to the colour distortion with your photo if it is a marking on the cable or the Cable crimp has moved backwards out of the housing

Photo of this quality please
