I bought a GF4 Ti4200 MS-8870 VGA-card and tried to install it on my MSI K7t266 Pro (6380) motherboard.
First i used the drivers that came with my card, nVidia 28.92 i think it was. The problem was that no changes were made to the settings-tab for the graphics. Ie the "special" MSI-tabs wern't there.
Then i tried nVidia 30.00-drivers , but the my screen always went black, when i tried to check te screenresolutionsettings. I coul squezze the resolution to 1024*768, but then only with a refreshrate at 59 Hz and 16 colours.
I am not shure wether it is a software conflict due to VIA K7T 266, and the nVidia drivers or if it could be my PSU that doesn't measure up. Though it is a 300W PSU that delievears about 175 W on the 3.3V and the 5 or a good old hardware-conflict.
Any tips would be nice
