Connection problem (LAN) with MSI PRO Z790-A WIFI

Hello,
I have problems with network connection loss in rj45 and after testing the internet box and cable, it would seem that it would come from my system or motherboard.

I currently have a MSI PRO Z790-A WIFI (MS-7E07) (purchased a year ago), with i7 14th generation and 64GB of RAM as well as a Geforce 4060. I currently have win 10 with all updated LAN drivers (from the MSI site)

I don’t know how to reduce these irregular connection losses. sometimes I don’t have one for several days and sometimes I lose it about twenty times in a row. These connection losses last between 2 or 3 seconds to several minutes.

I haven’t updated the bios for a year, can it have an impact?

If I need to update it, do I have to install all versions from the one I have or only the last will be sufficient?

Where do you think these cuts can come from? I don’t know what to do anymore. I fought with my operator thinking that it came from their connection but after several tests, neither the connection nor the internet box seem to be the culprits. I changed the cables trying different and the problem persists. I conclude that the problem is from my computer.

Thank you in advance for your help and sorry for my rough English

I admit that I don't care a little about RGB 🤣

But today we almost can't do without 😅

Above all, I am looking for an optimal tower to accommodate my configuration and make it last a long time. I use my computer to work in video, editing on Première pro and After EFFECT. I hope it turns as well as possible and goes the distance.
Will this tower be enough for what we exchanged? To put the AIO up.

That Antec does seem pretty nice. It's a high-airflow case, but with additional 'silent' features. The "Phanteks Eclipse G500A Performance" would be a similar high-airflow, probably a bit cheaper, and also the Antec P20C / P20CE should have a better price/performance ratio. Another good option is the Fractal Design Meshify 2 Black Solid.

I finally took Antec P20C :-)

I receive it within the week. I will make the change of turn at that time and could remain the temperature.

I will take advantage of this to correctly put the thermal paste back on the processor

There are lots of newer cases with better temperatures, especially if you play games. See the charts in the review below for comparison.
and the Gamers Nexus video I shared has three really good cases for temps: 1 x Antec, 1 x Lian Li, and 1 x Fractal.

They tested with a Noctua air cooler, he wants to use his 360mm AIO. Mounted on top, this will have great temperatures.
The main thing is that this case has lots of room, especially on the top position, so he can use his AIO properly.

Got it! Although, these days I tend to look more closely at the GPU temps than CPU temps because that appears to separate the good airflow from the really good airflow. But you will often pay a premium for those cases.

Hello,

I finally transferred my components to my new tower.

I have 4 intake fans and 3 emissions fans.

With this change the temperature rises less quickly.

However I still reach 98°c during the test cinebench :-/

When doing the transfer I didn't change the thermal paste, I wonder if I shouldn't do it, or my AIO is simply not strong enough to withstand this heat :(

What do you think?
Thank you for your help

here are the pictures.

I think that the fan at the bottom is not operational because it is facing the graphics card, and I wonder if I should put it rather back.
In addition I have reviewed the curve of front fans that are pwd and which was not set.

I gained 1 or 2 degrees on my last test

Yes, the bottom fan should've gone in the rear exhaust position, and the AIO should've been mounted with the hoses on the right side, like you see here:

That’s what I did but all my fan cables were on the wrong side and would have annoyed me.

do You think it’s just that? bad circulation of the cooling system?

I can reverse everything, but I have to disassemble all the fans from the cooling system to reverse their direction.
In itself I can still put the fan at the back because I have enough space, I can move the AIO to one side or the other and have the place for the last fan.

and the pump outlet is up, is it annoying? in which direction would that be optimal? down? Thank you for your advice.

For the pump unit, normally you want to have the hoses either going to the bottom or the left or right side, not upwards. So the pump unit, i would probably rotate, the hoses are going at a weird angle like you have it now. The normal way is either, hoses going to the bottom from the pump:

Or to the side:

I would first hold the pump unit over the CPU and try which way is ideal for the hoses. You want them hanging loosely and naturally. Maybe to the bottom is good, but if they would touch your GPU, then maybe to the left or right is better. Hoses going upwards from the pump just doesn't look right.

If you change that, take a photo of the CPU's heatspreader and the underside of the pump unit, to see the thermal paste, i want to know how good the coverage and the contact was.

This i didn't quite understand, did you or didn't you redo the thermal paste?

When doing the transfer I didn't change the thermal paste, I wonder if I shouldn't do it, or my AIO is simply not strong enough to withstand this heat :(

If you have thermal paste left, you can clean everything properly (i use lint-free kitchen roll and Q-tips dipped in Isopropanol) and apply new one.

Then the radiator, it doesn't matter if the hoses are on the left side or right side there, as long as you can still mount the rear exhaust fan and it's not blocked much by the hoses. So you could leave that like it is.

ok, I think I’ll look at all this tomorrow.

I will put the AIO back as in your pictures, the pump outlet on the right with the cables going to the right, while turning the fans of the AIO so that they have the cables on the right side.

So I will put on some thermal paste (which I had not yet done) and take a picture of what was done at the time.

I’ll keep you informed.

Thank you
