Hey I just got my MSI x58 and a new C0/C1 back from RMA from both Intel and MSi. Now I am overclocking it of course and I am able to hit 4.1 without many problems, although now that I am there and trying to push higher I am running into a problem with CPUID's both CPU-z and Everest readings. I am seeing my CPU multiplier jump from x21 to x20 to x13 to x9 to x5 and so on and so forth. Now this is occurring during idle time and no use on computer. I am running Windows 7 RC.  I have the NEW 1.7B2 BIOS, from 5-25 or so. Now IN BIOS I have all the features off except Hyperthreading, I have:
Spread Spectrum Off
C1E support Off
Bit Support Off
Overspeed Protect Off
C-State Disabled
EIST Disabled
and all those other features
I am able to manually pick a x21 multiplier for CPU.
Now My problem is why is my CPU reading jumping here is an example of what is happening, now this is in idle with nothing going on a quick screen shot. Can Anyone help or is anyone else having this problem, if so let me know.  Just a few pcis to show my problem that I am having.

you mean the overclocking center MSI tool?  Or Greenpower.  At the time no although I have tried it with it on and it still happens.  So you mean wipe it clean from my drive.  Will do and try it out.

Is HPET disabled in the bios chipset feature ? disable it if it's on.
I got everest ultimate running and when i open hardware monitoring from cpu-z the frequency jumps around like crazy , they make a conflict together.

is the power saving off in windows?
use high performance profile in the energycontrol ( configuration screen) , make sure cpu load min & max is set to 100%.
Maybe this will help.
