I bought this Desktop PC ( MSI Gaming PC MAG Codex X5 11TD-609DE, i7-11700KF, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 3070, Schwarz online kaufen | MediaMarkt ) in October or November 2021. Right when I bought it the only thing I have been doing is installing an HDD right when I bought it since it's upgradeable and it never caused issues anyway and other than that I only opened my PC to clean it from dust (very lightly).
Well I have been enjoying to use this PC for all this time and never had issues with it up until like let's say 2-3 weeks ago? I have noticed that the fan speeds were spiking VERY HIGH if i would have a game open and then open a browser or so, or my temperatures would go very high even in the BIOS (70-80 degrees Celsius). I was thinking maybe it's because it is summer? Then I would have the same temperatures even on colder days and it is just frustrating me since I cant really stream the games I enjoy anymore because my performance goes down due to thermal throttling. What I did for now is undervolt my CPU and lower the frequency (I used the PC on default setting the whole time) and now I peak at maybe 90 C when it's really under stress but if I don't do that I will have a constant 90 to 100 degrees which is very frustrating. The undervolting for me is just a temporary fix because of it I am sacrificing performance. I still have my warranty I was wondering if MSI would be able to maybe replace the cooler or upgrade it if I would pay extra for it? Since my GPU and Motherboard temperatures are always good it's literally just the CPU overheating and going crazy at a load of even 25% or so. I didn't change the thermal paste or the cooler by myself since I am not sure if it would void the warranty but if it doesn't do you guys have any recommendations on what other coolers I could use or what I should do in this situation in general?
I only play a game called Naraka (stream it sometimes) and watch Twitch on my PC I don't do anything special I even did a full virus scan and didn't find anything...
As you can see in my screenshots I kept lowering the voltage and frequency so it wouldn't overheat (but yes the default settings put it automatic and I would get higher voltages and frequencies).
Thanks in advance guys!
