I bought this Desktop PC ( MSI Gaming PC MAG Codex X5 11TD-609DE, i7-11700KF, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 3070, Schwarz online kaufen | MediaMarkt ) in October or November 2021. Right when I bought it the only thing I have been doing is installing an HDD right when I bought it since it's upgradeable and it never caused issues anyway and other than that I only opened my PC to clean it from dust (very lightly).
Well I have been enjoying to use this PC for all this time and never had issues with it up until like let's say 2-3 weeks ago? I have noticed that the fan speeds were spiking VERY HIGH if i would have a game open and then open a browser or so, or my temperatures would go very high even in the BIOS (70-80 degrees Celsius). I was thinking maybe it's because it is summer? Then I would have the same temperatures even on colder days and it is just frustrating me since I cant really stream the games I enjoy anymore because my performance goes down due to thermal throttling. What I did for now is undervolt my CPU and lower the frequency (I used the PC on default setting the whole time) and now I peak at maybe 90 C when it's really under stress but if I don't do that I will have a constant 90 to 100 degrees which is very frustrating. The undervolting for me is just a temporary fix because of it I am sacrificing performance. I still have my warranty I was wondering if MSI would be able to maybe replace the cooler or upgrade it if I would pay extra for it? Since my GPU and Motherboard temperatures are always good it's literally just the CPU overheating and going crazy at a load of even 25% or so. I didn't change the thermal paste or the cooler by myself since I am not sure if it would void the warranty but if it doesn't do you guys have any recommendations on what other coolers I could use or what I should do in this situation in general?

I only play a game called Naraka (stream it sometimes) and watch Twitch on my PC I don't do anything special I even did a full virus scan and didn't find anything...
As you can see in my screenshots I kept lowering the voltage and frequency so it wouldn't overheat (but yes the default settings put it automatic and I would get higher voltages and frequencies).
Thanks in advance guys!

I had exactly the same issues with my CPU, it began this summer. I also bought the same Desktop PC at MediaMarkt in December 2021. I send it to the MSI Service for warranty 2 weeks ago.😓

I am reaching out to address a critical issue I've been encountering with the system I recently purchased. Despite investing in a new system, I have been consistently experiencing severe overheating problems, even during idle states.

Upon initiating the PC, the temperature rapidly escalates to an alarming 90 degrees Celsius, posing significant concerns for the system's integrity and performance. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, including replacing the system under the assumption of a coolant malfunction, the problem persists unabated.

Regrettably, my attempts to seek assistance from MSI's service team in Bangalore have been met with considerable frustration and disappointment. The attitude displayed by the service personnel has been less than satisfactory, compounding my concerns and leaving me feeling profoundly dissatisfied with the entire purchasing experience.

At this juncture, I find myself deeply troubled by the prospect of having invested a substantial sum of 1.5 lakhs rupees into a system that fails to meet even the most basic performance standards. As a conscientious consumer, I feel compelled to explore all available avenues to address this matter, including the possibility of seeking recourse through the consumer court.

However, before resorting to such measures, I am keen to engage in constructive dialogue with MSI to seek a mutually agreeable resolution. I remain hopeful that a satisfactory solution can be reached promptly to rectify the overheating issue and restore my confidence in the product and the brand.

I kindly request your urgent attention to this matter and would appreciate any assistance you can offer in expediting a resolution.

SAME ISSUE
NEVER BUY MSI PRODUCT

From the moment of setup, I have been facing critical hardware failures, including continuous reboots displaying the error message:

"CPU Overheating Alert! Please check the CPU Cooler is firmly attached for working properly."

This is not an isolated incident. I previously purchased the same model from the same seller, which had the exact same overheating issue, forcing them to replace it with this unit—which is now failing in the same manner within an unacceptably short time frame.

Breach of Warranty & Seller's Misrepresentation

  • The desktop was delivered without a warranty seal because Anandit Infotech upgraded it with 2TB Hard Disk, 32GB RAM, and an additional 1TB Hard Drive at the time of delivery.
  • The seller assured me that these upgrades were authorized by MSI and would not affect the warranty.
  • Now, MSI refuses to honor the warranty, despite the fact that I purchased the system through an authorized seller listed on the MSI website and relied on their assurance.

Repeated Failure of Customer Support & Service

  • I have made repeated attempts to contact MSI customer support, yet my concerns remain ignored and unresolved.
  • The regional MSI office is closed, leaving me with no local support options.
  • Despite logging a formal complaint (Ticket No. #1184145), MSI has failed to take responsibility for the defective system.
  • I recently received a request for a DT backside image for verification or ticket closure, yet my core issue remains unresolved.

Business & Legal Repercussions

  • This faulty desktop has completely halted my work, causing severe financial loss and jeopardizing my employment.
  • This product is not even a year old, yet it has exhibited repeated hardware failures, proving it to be defective.
  • Anandit Infotech and MSI have misrepresented the product, breached the warranty agreement, and failed to provide necessary after-sales service.
  • If this matter is not resolved immediately, I will be escalating this issue legally by filing a consumer complaint against both MSI and Anandit Infotechfor:
    • Selling a defective product
    • Misrepresentation of warranty terms
    • Negligence in after-sales support
    • Failure to honor warranty obligations
