CPU prices out of whack

I can't figure out the pricing going on with Intel CPUs recently. For the 11th generation, "F" versions without the integrated graphics are more expensive than the regular versions with integrated graphics. Unlocked "K" CPUs are less expensive than the locked version of the same CPU. Both are backwards to how things normally go and it's just weird.

Prices have been screwed up for quite some time now.
I can understand the KF's being more expensive actually, they are more sought after by gamers and overclockers. No iGPU = less heat = more overclock ability, more demand = higher prices.
As far as locked vs unlocked....no idea. The problem is that most sites now allow independent sellers, which means they can skew the market a lot.

I recently looked at AMD processors, specifically the Ryzen 5000 series and prices are stable with more models available

I am more interested in DDR5 platforms as the X570 I have now is not hurting so I am not jumping early as I want to be sure the motherboard and CPU are within my needs

Yes, I can see why KF versions would be more expensive, but not the plain F version. It isn't overclockers buying those, and until recently they were always less expensive, not more. Oh well, strange times for the electronics market for sure.
