I really hope there is someone who can help me with this. On my MSI prestige 15, delete and backsapce stopped working. sometimes they work when pressed with other keys like insert or / key. But often don't. few day back they started working again and now again the same problem. I tried bios/EC reset, update bios, MSI factory reset, re formatting, driver update....... , but nothing seems to work. i even tried ubuntu, but still same problem.

But most confusing part is that, when i press ctrl+alt+ del, it freaking works every time.
Can someone shade some light on this.

Hi,
Did you install Utility that could change your keyboard action? (like Steelseries .etc)
If you did, try to update it to the latest version. Or just uninstall that Utility.
Also, you can check your BIO/EC version to see if it's the latest or not.
Go to MSI official website to find your driver version.

No sir, i didnot install any other driver earlier. i only tried steelseries once , only after backspace and delete key stopped working. As i mentioned earlier, i tried reformatting, msi factory reset, bios reset/ update and all that. but they just wont work. Worst part is that, sometimes they work when pressed along with other key together and again next time wont. This "occasionally working times'' just keep giving me a false hope that this is not hardware problem and it can be fixed. but....

Did it happen at some specific moment? Playing games or typing Microsoft Word maybe??
There is one thing you can try. Use an external keyboard if you have one.
I can't sure. That probably hardware's problem.
