does anyone knows why is there no fix instead of N/A under HX? mistake or did just intel admit hx cpus are also affected? or is this error different to the high voltage one? this table is from new intel microcode update for linux more info in here https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...pus-laptops-mobile-easily.325403/post-5363453

Only time will tell, but this will have a negative effect that will last some time, AMD will reap the benefit of this incident.
Profit of manufacturers seem to overshadow everything else, in the long run, if this does not change, they will wonder why sales have decreased so much.
You cannot have increased profits, if your sales decrease.

It seems that the "N/A" under HX in the Intel microcode update could be an oversight or potentially a sign that Intel has not released a fix for the issue related to those CPUs yet. The "high voltage" error might be different from this specific one, but without more details, it's difficult to make a direct comparison
One thing is for sure, any further purchase of a product containing a CPU from this manufacturer will be postponed by me and I'm sure I will not be the only one to do this.
In the end, if nothing is done and no transparency of the issue is given, when time comes to purchase another laptop or PC, an alternative brand of CPU will be used.

Acer, ASUS, Alienware/Dell and Lenovo have all come up with microcode update for their HX laptops but sadly MSI is simply ignoring it. I switched from ASUS few years ago and now have multiple MSI gaming laptops at home. I waited for several months to buy a new laptop as I really expected MSI to release a BIOS update with the microcode fix but sadly it is not the case. If this remains the same then my next laptop won't be from MSI.

i think you can stop waiting, message from msi support from 6 days ago

Well it seems some remain skeptikal, because a thread exists about Intel mobile 13/14th Gen laptop CPUs.
Will investigate this further, since I tend to be more cautious lately, with information given to us.

yes i believe they are affected and even if they are not, how expensive could it be for msi to do this bios update? all other big laptop manufacturers did it already, even if just for peace of mind, sadly msi is not planning to (based on the message i got from msi support last week)

They seem to focus more on costs lately, it seems.
Well anyways, they have limited options with AMDs CPUs, even if they do increase the amount of models that have it every year.
But if I would have to go AMD, unless MSI would increase much more, I think my choice would be with another brand.
MSI have great Intel options, but other than that, the pickings are much slimmer.
