Disable Thunderbolt eGPU setting

Following the latest changelog on the new update for the BIOS of my GS63VR 7RF, I was wondering on the future effect of this update.
What is the real consequences of "Disabling Thunderbolt eGPU setting" via BIOS, first step to disable the option?. one of the main future uses of this Thunderbolt 3 port will be the eGPU's, so I am not getting the point on it...
