I'm having the same issue. Is there any way to fix this? I've tried everything i can think of. Please help. MAN DOWN in Florida!!!!!
Hi, I had the same issue and software fixes did not help in my case. The screen flickers intermittently, especially at low brightness. What finally solved it was reseating the internal display ribbon cable.
After removing the back cover, I disconnected the battery power cable first. Then I removed the screws holding the battery frame, took out the battery, and disconnected the connector on the left daughterboard.
Under the battery, there is a display ribbon cable connector covered by black tape. In my case, that connector seemed to have a poor connection. I carefully removed the black tape and reconnected the display ribbon cable.
One thing to be careful about: the ribbon cable is also stuck to the bottom shell with double-sided adhesive. You need to detach the ribbon cable from the bottom shell first, then lift the connector latch before removing the cable. Otherwise, the cable may still be under tension.
My guess is that the double-sided adhesive on the bottom shell was not aligned properly, which caused uneven tension on the ribbon cable and led to intermittent contact issues. After repositioning the adhesive and reconnecting the cable properly, the problem was completely fixed.
Thankfully, the device didn’t require me to tear everything down just to reach the display connector. However, please be careful if you try this. I think the proper way to solve this is to contact MSI support team if you got your time.
I bought this device earlier this month, and I think there may be similar issues with the same batch of products. I hope my experience helps.
