Does MSI have any new boards coming?

Hi guys. I was wondering if any of you knew if MSI had any new i7 boards on the way. I ask, because only two boards currently fit my slot needs: The original Eclipse SLI, and an Asrock I'd rather not touch with a ten foot pole. I need a board that can run three GTX285s (not tri-SLI, just plain SLI with an extra) and a Creative X-Fi Elite Pro PCI interface card. The two boards I mentioned will allow me to run the graphics cards without BLOCKING the PCI slot, but...
Eclipse SLI: Supported Ram frequency is too low for my tastes. I'd like something that supports at least 1800. I also have zero need for the X-Fi card (or any onboard audio for that matter.)
Asrock: It's Asrock. Enough said.

I will not be ditching my Elite Pro. I bought it for the midi interface, for my keyboard, and it has served me well. Have you guys seen any news about future products? Or, and I hate to ask it here, do you have any recommendations for another board brand that meets my needs?

Eclipse Plus won't work for me, because the sole PCI slot on it gets blocked by the PCIe graphics card. If the second PCIe slot and sole PCI slot positions were reversed, it would work. Pity too, because it is rated for up to 1600, which would theoretically go as high as 1800 without much fuss.
X58m is missing both a PCIe slot and a usable PCI slot, while also having only low speed ram support.

Agreed. :yes: At 116dB, the Elite Pro is a fine card. The X-Fi PCI-E Titanium Fatal1ty Champion has 109dB. That may be a good alternate choice for your MIDI interface using the new MSI Eclipse Plus mainboard?

Newegg $199.99 & free shipping (Elite Pro $279.99), but if it doesn't have M. interface, not much good to you. Eclipse SLI = DDR3 800/1066/*1333/*1600 (OC) looks like a candidate board then. :idea:

Please note that the memory controller is part of the processor and there is currently no Core i7 CPU released by Intel that natively supports more then DDR3-1066.  That is why even the DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1600 ratings on the product site are actually OC ratings (system stability cannot be guaranteed in all configurations at these speeds settings).  It actually does not matter what board you go for, the memory controller of the processor will be the same and have the same native specifications.  Even if you would be able to find a board that mentions DDR3-1800 support (I am not even sure if there are even industry specifications for this kind of clock speed), it does not mean that the CPU will be able to handle that.

Oh yes, I'm quite aware. After reading several more reviews of the Eclipse this morning, it seems people are really struggling to reach clocks of just 1700. I think I'm going to have to pass on the Eclipse and hope that MSI releases a higher performance board for the i7 with my slot configuration.

Your only hope may be in the new Intel D0 i7 920, 950, & 975 offerings. They 'may' have expanded mem. speed support.
