Does the MSI GT780 laptop supports 1600 Mhz memory???

Does the MSI GT780 (barebone laptop) supports 1600 Mhz memory (if an Intel processor is installed that supports 1600 Mhz of course such as the 2720qm or 2760qm)? I always assumed that it would, but somebody told me that the motherboard doesn't support 1600 Mhz yet and that maybe an BIOS update would be provided that does fix this?

You'd have to check with MSI on this. Currently, there are no Intel CPUs that natively support 1600mhz memory, and even if they become available, they most probably will not be compatible with this notebook.

I don't understand this: the i7 2720QM (and up) all support 1600 mhz???

And this CPU is supported by the MSI notebook. So what exactly do you mean?
 
msi gt780r supports 1600mhz memory.  i am not sure if this is true if you are referring to the non-msi branded barebone (that's what i'm assuming?).
