I brought a msi ge627re in 2017 anyways my screen started to flicker, so I sent it bk to msi, after 2 weeks of waiting they finally emailed me and said MY LAPTOP WAS NOT REPAIRABLE , I ASKED WHY, THEY SAID MY LCD CABLE NEEDED REPLACING BUT BECAUSE THEY ONLY USE MSI PARTS THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY NO LONGER HAVE THE PARTS FOR MY LAPTOP THEY HAVE BEEN STOPPED, THEN THEY RANG ME AND ASKED IF I WANTED MY LAPTOP DISTROYED AT THE PRICE OF 40 POUNDS,OR TO HAVE IT RETURNED WAS 64 POUNDS , SO I ASKED IF I GOT THE CABLE WOULD THE MACHINE STILL WORK, HIS REPLY WAS YES BUT THEN WHY ASK ME TO DISTROY MY LAPTOP .THAT COST ME 1049 POUNDS, ITS DISGUSTING AND WILL NEVER USE MSI AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know which part of the world you are leaving but in China you can easily find relatively old MSI notebook spare parts on Tabo ( China origin web site https://world.taobao.com/ ) . I bought my MSI Titan Pro GT73 VR 17" 4K notebook in October 2016 in Hong Kong. Eventually in early 2020 screen gone, similar like LCD cable problem I order new LCD (4K same spec exactly my one from Taobao ( cost only 100+USD) delivered to Hong Kong in a week I installed myself very easy. over 9 months still works fine.
