Does anyone have the issue where you randomly get an extra of the same character while typing? I have the MSI Vigor GK50 Elite TKL (2023 version Red Kailh switches) that was deelivered on December 22, 2023. I've had it happen with the A key, E key, F key, and probably others as I type. My wife had it happen to her as well while working on a document. It doesn't happen all of the time. I've left some extra characters in this post as they happened. It's pretty random but you notice it when it happens. I've read it is a common problem with mechanical keyboards? The very reason I purchased this MSI keyboard is because it started happening with my 3 year old Logitech G413 (Red Romer-G switches) mechanical keyboard. I temporarily switched to a regular cheap spare membrane keyboard for a few weeks and during the time I ordered this GK50 keyboard as a replacement. I've tried using an air duster blowing into the depressed key switches that I've noticed this problem on, and also tried electrical contact cleaner spray. The problem seems to goo away for a bit but then starts happening again. I also used to have a Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Red) mechanical keyboard (red switches) for 5 years with my previous PC and it never had that problem, then again it was a premium $130 keyboard. I ended up throwing it away after one of the keys just stopped totally working and to try something different. My new PC that I've had since March 2023 is a PowerSpec G442 froom Micro Center which features an MSI Pro Z690-A WiFi DDR4 motherboard, so it has also lived through the Logitech double keys problem too. I hope that's not the issue. I've tried plugging in the GK50 keyboard into another USB 2.0 port but it made no difference. I've also tried adjusting the Windows 11 Pro control panel keyboard repeat rate and delay settings which doesn't seem to help at all. As you can see while I'm typing this post it appears to have only happened with the E and O keys this time. I bolded the words having the extra characters. Usually the A key is what I notice most often but then again it is a pretty random problem. I really love this TKL shorty gaming keyboard so I hope that's not the problem. I registered it and know it's under warranty but still - especially since this also happened with my previous mechanical keyboard on the same PC. What do you think I should do? Sorry for the novel here. I'm typing just a bit extra to see if the A key repeats again during this post but wouldn't you know, it decides to start behaving itself after using the electrical contact cleaner again. Go figure! All I can do if keep cleaning the contacts by spraying inside the depressed switch and tapping it over and over hoping it all goes away. So far it keeps croopping it's ugly head again while playing cat and mouse to mess with me some more LOL.
