using scm ? I think he was doing it for me

in appdata ,.
there is nothing ,, something is msi ,, microstar ,, differently
usually when you open the folder there is a program name ,,, scm.exe folder
test uninstall scm
manual remove
C:\Program Files (x86)\SCM
reinstall

regedit manual reg remove
default way for all app setting
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
scm
msi
...
..

test normal install 4.8 net
or
rename file to "net"

Code:
cmd
net.exe /repair
is last for win7 -win 10
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net48
and i using in windows panel + 3.5 net compatibility

but this should ensure the support of msi ,,normal working installer

Big mac,
Yes I have - every time I've uninstalled a non-working version.
This last version doesn't even make an entry in Event Viewer like the one I listed above when starting it up. Event Viewer only shows that it was installed correctly and uninstalled correctly.

Still waiting for a working version....

Here is the system information file from MSI help desk. As I said, event view only showed that it was installed correctly. The previous versions of Dragon Center did show in event viewer when trying to start the app. See above.

According to your laptop system information, there is no Dragon Center.
It seems that you try the all the solutions.
Have you tried to MSI F3 recovery the system?

Yes there is no Dragon Center installed. When they fail, I uninstall.
Since it took me 4-5 months to get this laptop to where I wanted it (I had to install everything fresh since I traded in my GT80 2QE for this one) and since Dragon Center was working until I tried to update it, I am not going to reset it back to factory default. I'm waiting for a working version to show up.

This problem may also be caused by a laptop driver or 3rd party application.
MSI F3 recovery can confirm whether there will be the same problem in pure OS.
