I cannot log into dragon center - it continually says account or perrword error.
Now your probably thinking I have an incorrect account or password - but since I need to log into MSI to post this question -no
But lets play this stupid game - I select "forgot your password" It takes me to the MSI web ( which I am already logged into) and I give it my email address and I get this
"We just sent you an email with a password reset link"
Yeah - you say - problem almost solved - but alas this is not the case - I cut and paste the password into the WEB login and voila - I am in
So I use the same cut and paste in dragon center And........ account or password error
I HAVE disabled my AV - but really the error is not server unavailable - it it literally telling me there is something wrong with either my account or password
Funny thing THERE IS NOT
anybody have any ideas please

MSI Tech Support said that sign-in through Dragon Center or MSI Center is currently temporarily disabled due to some security-related updates.
They mentioned that the issue is expected to be fixed and the sign-in function should be available again after the end of June.
For now, if you need to sign in to your MSI account, please use the MSI official website instead.

thank you for replying - I do not want to sign into the web- I want dragon center so I can put the fan on boost - if you didnt know europe is experiencing a heat wave and the laptop is over heating. I need boost on my fan

You only mentioned an account login issue above, so I’m not sure how this is related to the weather.
Otherwise, you can boost the fan even without logging in the account.

Your not sure how air temperature affects the operating temperature of electrical equipment then I am quite surprised. But thank you for telling me I can boost the fan without logging into DC and giving me absolutely no clue what so ever on how to do that. Since it is the only thing I would like to do - perhaps 10 more forum exchanges and someone might throw me a bone. I have tried two github programs with no success, and another MSI program - support appears to be have a different meaning in different countries

There isn't anything wrong with the sign in function, at least as far as MSI Center is concerned. I can log into it and my MSI accounts just fine, so I'm not sure why this affecting some users and not others. Indeed I'm logged into MSI Center as I type this post.

Wait, your original post was about Dragon Center showing an MSI account login error. How would I know you were actually asking about an overheating issue?
You should probably provide the basic details first, like the exact model name, CPU/GPU temperatures, fan speed, and which User Scenario mode you are using. Without that information, it’s hard for anyone to give useful advice.

No change; it's still the same error. Technical support is basically making a fool of the customer; my ticket is marked as "resolved," yet they never actually answered the question—neither yes nor no

It sounds like your MSI account itself is working correctly since you can log into the MSI website, so the problem is likely with Dragon Center rather than your username or password.

A few things you could try:

  • 1. Make sure Dragon Center is updated to the latest version. Older versions sometimes have authentication issues after MSI changes its login system.
  • 2. Check that your PC's date, time, and time zone are correct, as incorrect system time can cause login failures.
  • 3. Try signing in with your email address if you're using a username (or vice versa).
  • 4. Close Dragon Center completely (including from the system tray), then run it as Administrator and try logging in again.
  • 5. If that doesn't help, uninstall Dragon Center completely, reboot, and install the latest version from MSI's support page for your specific motherboard or laptop model.
  • 6. If you're using a VPN, proxy, or firewall, temporarily disable it to rule out connection issues.

Hello,

I was successfully logged in, but I made the mistake of logging out. Since then, I haven't been able to log back in—even just two minutes later; my PC setup hadn't changed in that time.
I have the latest version downloaded from the MSI page for my GE75 10SGS, and the date and time are correct; the firewall status makes no difference.
There are several of us in this situation... I have an open ticket with MSI tech support, so we'll see if there's a solution.

Hi,

I am having exactly the same problem. Just did a reset of my GS66 Stealth 10SE laptop, therefore everything was reinstalled. I also got logged out of MSI Dragon Center as a result of the reset. Since then I have been having the 'account or password error'. Logging into the web portal works fine (as obvious from my post ;P). I have already tried to uninstall with CleanCenterMaster and reinstall, tried to uninstall MSI SDK separately and reinstall, checked my PC's date and time etc., disabled my firewall, but to no avail! I have rebooted my laptop in this process countless times.

I have submitted a ticket to MSI Support, hopefully something will come from that. If anyone has found a solution please let me know. :)

BR,

Anne

Thanks for the update. Since you were able to log in before and the problem started immediately after signing out, it does sound less like a configuration issue on your PC and more like an authentication problem on MSI's side. If several users are experiencing the same issue with the latest version, that points even more strongly to a server-side or account-related problem. Hopefully MSI Support can identify the cause and provide a fix. If they get back to you with a solution, it would be great if you could share it here—it could help others running into the same login issue.

answer of msi tech

Dear Gautier,
Thank you for your message.
We're sorry to hear that the problem persists. Unfortunately, the Dragon Center application is no longer developed. With the ongoing changes and updates in the OS, it may cause some of the Dragon Center functions not to work as intended.
Regrettably, we're unable to provide any other solution.

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused. Your understanding is highly appreciated.
