Driver: Dsktop brightness bug ???

The latest G4 for XP driver doesn't want to keep my desktop brightness setting.

Everytime i quit a 3D game it reload the dark default brightness setting which force me to go under :

Desktop/setting/Advance/Nview/Parameter/Color setting etc.. to readjust the brightness back,

I have to do this everytime i quit a 3D game..And it starting to piss me off.

And how come the NView TaB is in french and the rest is in english ?


Current config:

-WinXP pro ( desktop at 1280x1024 32bits )
-MSI G4 Ti 4200 128
-MSI KT333 ARU
-19" Daytek screen
-AMD Athlon 1900

hi, i have some way the same problem.

When I quit Unreal Tournament (OpenGL) the desktop is VERY bright and I have to click on the ColorCorrection Tab in graphics properties then it suddenly changes to default. But I've got no workaround yet. :(

Deep3D isnt even working on the latest driver...

it keep saying your monitor has been change when in fact it didnt...

find newest Detonators (30.00) uninstall the oldones before installing new.

I hawe sometimes problem with britness bu moustly when some game chrashes not when i go out of it normaly.

but if i use detonator how am i gona be able to use the dual TV+monitor feature that comes with msi driver ?

if the detonateur fix the problem then it means its the msi driver that doesn't work... :evil:

I've tried using the "Digital Vibrance" setting that's in the same area as your brightness control. For me it doesn't even keep the setting after a reboot even if I don't play a game. Kind of weird because I have the Nvidia quick tweek icon on my task bar. From there when I reboot I can quickly load my saved profile where I set "Digital Vibrance =1". BUT it shows a checkmark next to this profile already as if it's the one already selected and loaded. However it is NOT selected because if I choose it (even though it already has a check mark) I can see "Digital Vibrance" kick in...

You can try using the quick tweek icon as an "easy" way to change your brightness when you need to (a pain in the arse though).

just bumping this up cuz i'm still having the problem

can anyone explain to me why the Display Setting is english, The Advance TAB is in english but the NVIEW is in french ??????

And why do i still lose my brightness gama setting everytime that i exit a game ?????

The 3Ddeep isn't even working with this card !!

After searching for days i have noticed that there should be a checkbox that says apply this setting on windows startup !!!

where the hell is mine ????

Maybe this has nothing to do with the problem but the problem is still : that we're losing the brightness (gama setting) on every games that we quit.

Everytime we quit a game the desktop brightness goes back to default which is way too DARK!

Also, some applications are calling the default color setup and those applications don't have gama setup.
that means we can't !!!! use those applications if the nView color doesn't change the true default values.
What it means is that there are some applications we can not use with this card.

now, i need some repply because i would have no choice than to remove the card from the PC and to return it if i get no response.

(no emails repply after 3 weeks)
(no tech phone support)

This board seems to be what i have left.

what language are your settings keyboard,location etc in now

try uninstalling the drivers and reinstall with all such settings set to us english usa location,keyboard etc

used to have to do this with new nforce system drivers up to this release,or i could not access the options at all
english english was not good enough for them

nope

changing the region keyboard to US english doesn't fix the nView.

After uninstalling the whole drivers i reinstalling for the fifth time i'm still getting the same problem

I'm still getting a dark screen after ending a any 3D programs ( games )

There is nothing to save the default nview gama value to the value that i want.

Right now everything is in english and the color setup still doesn't have the check box that says ( load on startup )

there's something wrong with the nView.

NVDIA just released a new detonator few days ago. maybe that gona help if MSI can manage to get that one right

if not, then just too bad.. ( they don't let me any choice...)

finaly... my nightmare is almose over.

Detonator 4.0 is da driver to use.. not MSI

so those who have the same problem... get the detonator..

few words though, Media Player on detonator will only play full screen on the NTSC TV display unless you open two media player

anyway... good luck.
