Hi,
I have a problem with Dynamic Dashboard III on X870E Godlike.
Dashboard have a problem with show information such as temp, dynamic image, ... LCD flickers when show information temp.
If you have any way to fix it, please help me.
Thank you so much.
Best regard.

Solution
I am receiving messages that the bridge is mostly stable with the version from 16th Jan. So first of all, please make sure you update the firmware as well as BIOS and MSI Center.
I have the same issue with this motherboard and I am using the latest beta BIOS and have all the latest drivers. I also tried the advanced button on the MSI Center live update and it says I am up to date. It worked great at first and I was able to select which temps, voltages, and fan speeds to display. I set it to display system temp, MOS temp, CPU fan speed and System fan speed and this worked perfectly for a solid week. The last couple days the various stats are randomly blanking out, showing zeros, or showing the loading screen with the triangles. It seemed to get worse over time, starting with just a couple of the stats and eventually all of them started doing it.

For whatever reason, the fourth display option with red stats and white graphics on the top and bottom doesn't have these issues. The gold lines that separate the stats glitch out and only show randomly after a while but the red stats and white graphics don't glitch at all.

I had the same issue. But also the board would take ~25-60 seconds to post, and now today the screen isn’t working at all. I can tell the backlight is on but no display content whatsoever. And in Windows after letting it boot, I’m getting a recurring usb connect-disconnect sound every 30 seconds or so. Worst part is I’m not even sure Newegg has stock in order to send replacement if I return it. And if I RMA the thing with MSI, I probably won’t have replacement until Christmas. *sighs*
For $1200 I expected something a little more reliable.

Actually, this problem seem to be serious. Unfortunately, If you got this issue, It will progressively worsen, ultimately resulting in the LCD completely shutting down.
I see many people have encountered this issue, which means that for a 1200$, it is a significant problem. It's not just about the money but also the quality of product and the trust of the customers.

MSI is checking the problem and advise to update firmware again
- Please report back the current FW & DATA version and result (display works or not) here!!!!!

refer to SOP to flash both FW and Data file, ignore the cable part since dashboard is onboard

Hey there folks, Unfortunately I am having the exact same issue as sparkfas152602da.

It started with a couple blinky elements on the display, and now my PC is struggling to POST, and the DEBUG display never appears on the Dynamic Dashboard so I can't even reference the codes it's supposed to be throwing. I am also getting the CONSTANT connect/disconnect sound in Windows...and all of my USB devices seem to be sluggish when it is attempting to connect.

Basically this has made my PC completely unusable... I've tried flashing the BIOS/running on the backup BIOS and updating the firmware as stated above.

FW : 24102902
DATA : 24093000

FW completes updating, but Data fails.

Where it says Current Version at the top synchronizes with the disconnect/reconnect windows sound -- *Disconnect sound* "Waiting for device to connect" *Connect* -- Displays Firmware.

Best I could do to remedy the problem is to just disconnect the whole EZ Bridge which means I lost the connectivity to my fans, since the whole thing has to be disconnected.

Please post if you've got the same issue so we can encourage the engineering team with more data.

Yup exactly the same. Question: Since the front panel connector, and dedicated mobo power button are on the EZ Bridge, how did you turn the machine on without the EZ Bridge connected?

As a Hardware Engineer myself with 16 yrs professional experience, my best guess is it’s an issue with the new proprietary connector from the EZ Bridge to the motherboard. A novel design idea to magnetically attach a connector with so many pins, but the reliability of the connection seems finicky - I definitely wouldn’t have done it that way myself. And on top of that, the nature of the design prevents the user from sensory feedback that the connector is indeed attached correctly. We can’t see, hear, or feel if the connector is attached correctly. We just need to trust that if the bridge has magnetically coupled to the motherboard, that the connector is attached. But the whole EZ Bridge still has some small wiggle room for movement even after the connection has been made. For most other connectors, you can hear and feel the *click* that happens when attaching the connector as feedback that the connection was successful, and you can see the connection looks good. Not so with the EZ Bridge since the connector is hidden/not visible.

TBH I don’t understand the benefit of making the EZ Bridge removable at all. Just seems like a new potential source for reliability issues for little-to-no benefit. When putting my PC together I left the EZ Bridge connected the whole time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Anyways I RMA’d my board. brandon.rabbitt152102d2, I suggest you do the same as well as anyone else who has this problem which will be the best way to make them aware and provide motivation to fix the issue. The problem is MSI has no stock to cross-ship me a replacement while my board is in the shop - as would be expected for such an expensive board with so little stock that scalpers are having a $600 field day. So my system is completely down while I wait to hear back about RMA. The kicker is I spent all my money on this board and don’t have any left to buy a cheap AM5 mobo to use in the meantime. Dead in the water for now I guess.

MSI RMA team, if you’re listening, and you find it is indeed a physical connector issue, feel free to superglue the EZ Bridge to my mobo so I don’t have to worry - I won’t mind.

To answer your first question... I attached it, powered up... then yanked it off... Not exactly the most glamorous of solutions, but modern problems call for caveman solutions.

The bridge being removable is required to access the mounting screws underneath...and that's about it. From an engineering standpoint, I think this was a case of "because we can" problem solving. If they can somehow come up with a solution, I won't be too annoyed, but right now a $1,000 motherboard shouldn't have one of its mainline features not working.

Not to add salt to the wound, but when I ordered the board when they were first available, I ended up having an issue with the order, and had to place a second. Well both showed up and my rational brain said "well I have one, might as well send the other back"... It would have been interesting to pull the EZ Bridge off the other one and see if it's the bridge or the board.

Anyway, I am both saddened and comforted that there's another out there with the same issue. I'm going to add this forum post to my daily check in haha.

Oh man that would have been great debug info to try swapping EZ Bridges with your 2nd accidentally ordered board. I’ll try to poke the RMA team for some info on root-cause and report back.

When you pull off the EZBridge, does the intermittent chiming in windows stop?

My situation is similar to yours. In my country, i have one of the first available, and they told me "We just have one, don't have another to place for you".
In this generation, Z890 Godlike and X870E Godlike have the same EZ Bridge (i think it can swap), maybe we will see another topic on "MSI Intel Boards" like this topic.

Yes!! Once the bridge is removed, it stops the chiming and brief connection lag. I can essentially use it normally, I just lose access to make changes to my fans and RGB which I run at a constant pwm anyway!

I also have an issue tried the update thing and the update data constantly fails and now windows constantly chimes cause as it briefly detects something and then disconnects. at least I think thats what its doing.
Yep, sounds pretty much identical! Go ahead and pull it off after booting to stop the chimes.

I put mine back on after booting into windows and it has resumed a glitchy function, but at least it lets the ezbridge connections resume!

I am now in a similar boat.

Today, my screen would say "Loading..." with the animation at all times but show temps etc. at the same time, often with overlapping data.

I completely shut the PC down, unplugged the power cable, and waited for a few minutes.

After turning it back on, the screen was completely blank.

I opened up MSI Center to try to change things on it and kept getting the hardware disconnect/connect sound in Windows.

After several minutes, it stopped and switched back to just the Loading screen forever again.

The one thing I did between last night and this morning is allow Windows 11, version 24H2 to install. It wasn't installed before because I did a clean reinstall of Windows when I replaced my CPU and motherboard.

This is the sign before the screen completely turn off.
